this world is so loud honestly. she doesn’t get it. how anyone could make it in a world where things flew in the sky &&. raced on the ground was well beyond her. she just felt…. afraid. like there was no escaping this place.
after mother &&. father both disowned her, she fled to this place &&. she has regretted every single second of it. had she known then what she had known now, she wouldn’t have chosen to come here. she would have chosen to live in exile on the outskirts of her own world. but no. jemma had a serious need to get away from everyone she knew. everyone she had come to care for. or so she thought.
here, no one knew her for who/what she was. here, she was just another face in the crowd that didn’t get any second looks. the fae is just a gentle voice with soft spoken words. half the time no one even listens to her anyways. she’s just…. the freak. the alien. no one cared about her anyways.
brilliant blue hues that are almost electric dance alight within the pulsating lights of the club. while the outside world was loud, this was too, but it was different. she felt home almost. she felt normal here. lithe fingers push ghostly blonde locks away from her forehead, mingling with the throngs of people to get lost once more to fill the void inside.
this was her home now. this was where she belonged. these were her people. they accepted her for who she was.
