As someone who chose doing what they love over a more “profitable” career, I would say it’s worth leaving more profitable choices behind if the rest of the factors make you happier. (As much as being rich is great and we always yell about that XD) It’s all about pros and cons in the end, and sometimes it’s cool to compose a physical list even. I also think that your degree might give you a lot of options even in Greece. Online counceling seems to be becoming a big thing! So with a psychology degree, I’m sure you could get your hands on a job like that as well, something you can do from Greece but isn’t necessarily Greece based. So I think that’s definitely something to take into the account! On the other hand, I also don’t think you should rush any decisions. I think it’s awesome you’re thinking about it, but know that your opinion might change once you actually finish uni? So I think it’s good to gather a ton of pros and cons for both options until then. I think no matter what you do right now, you’ll still have all the options open - it’s not like any of them really cement your future permanently! But when the time to make a decision comes… Don’t overthink it (: You will have thought about it until then a lot, and when that moment comes, whatever feels right at that moment will be the right choice. c: All the support!! <3

online counselling does sound good, I am gonna check that out for sure, thank you! and yeah I know, I should chiiil, but how one does that. Honestly I am just stressed about everything, it’s my default state. I don’t think countries closer to greece are better than greece haha. and well, I really can’t go to norway, cause my work will have to be in a language I have mastered, but yeah.

The words were on the tip of John’s tongue as he stopped just before the door, keeping his gaze firmly on the wood grain as if it could tell him what to do. He let out a shaky breath and turned, hating the clumsiness of it now as he always did.

“And if I stay? Do you tell me tomorrow I shouldn’t have, and never will again?” He didn’t care if he had to sneak out quietly so the men didn’t notice, that was fine. But if he stayed tonight, and tomorrow James called it a mistake -

He had to know, first, and so he watched his captain, waiting for an answer.

Green eyes dart in Katherine’s way as James stares in her direction for a moment in silence. The previous frown is still there, but his expression this time is not unkind. It is not that he disagrees — quite the opposite, in fact. It is that he did not anticipate another sharing the sentiment at this time, and for a moment, her words ring familiar and he can almost hear another speak them in the same way all those years ago.

“Is that so?” he prompts, and though he finds himself in agreement, he wishes to gain additional insight in her statement. “How do you propose we gain that?”

When she glances up at him from the mending she’s been occupying her hands with, there is a seriousness in her eyes that belied her years. She is not afraid of him, not now, and she will certainly speak her mind. She would even if she was afraid. Her words are something her mother told her many years ago and they never fail to remind her of what her hope is.

“You must find it.” Shoulders shrugging slightly, brown eyes drop to the work in her lap again. “For me, my God is my hope. That faith will never fail to fuel my hope. But I am certain there must be something every man and woman can find to bolster their hope. A person... or an idea... something.”

this is a thing we decided yesterday. Thomas caught 16 year old John trying to steal food from the kitchen after breaking in. And Thomas fed him because....he’s literally been eating trash and he’s so thin. Poor thing. Thomas knows something about John that James doesn’t.

She never remembered at the time, what was coming. But this time, her hand had locked around James' wrist before they'd left the room to leave for dinner, out of displaced foresight and anxiety. It had made no difference, she hadn't truly remembered and she received a bullet again. And again. And again.

It was after, in the room with harsh bright lights that she remembered. This time was different. This time she was dressed differently, a red dress that bought ghosts of imprinted memories of being someone else.

Not this time. Not now that she had assessed enough after so many deaths to see it for what it was. A sick game.

Miranda waited until she was left alone, carefully vacant until that point; then getting up and moving as fast as she could while paying attention, looking for another like her to wake. The fact that it was James that she found was a relief.

It wasn't one she knew, his hair gone and much more worn. But it was James, and at the moment that was the best possible option imaginable. Picking up the tablet she had watched them use on her, Miranda tapped through until she found the command to wake him; willing it to happen quickly.

DAY 1

Gone.That’s what Peter had wrote to him in his latest letter. Gone. Such a simple word that held just a great meaning. He did not know how, just that Miranda had informed their friends that James had been reckless and now he is gone.You can’t be. I love you. But it wasn’t enough, was it? Love could conquer a lot of things, but not death. Or perhaps he had been wrong all along and love was not a blessing, it wasn’t everlasting happiness— it was heartbreak, it was dangerous, it was deadly. Had James not love him, he would not have been so involved in the endeavor, he would have become an Admiral, he would lived.I am so sorry. Please come back to me.

DAY 3

What is the point of anything now? How is he supposed to hope for something better, when James is gone? When James is dead. That is the right word. Gone can be something temporary, it implies return, hope. There is nothing more permanent than death —he is not sure he believes in reunion in afterlife.Life is short, they say, but nothing feels longer than now. No purgatory could be worse than Bedlam, worse than knowing his actions had killed the man he loved, had destroyed his dearest friend.Death would come easy, even with its inseparable companion called fear. Although...Thomas never quite feared death. There would heaven after, he used to believe, where he would see his mother. There would be an end to this, he kept thinking in Bedlam. There is no other way, he thinks now.

DAY 20

And yet something in him tells him to live. Or rather to survive. He has to tell someone about James. Someone has to remember him, it is his obligation has to keep him alive on this earth for as long as he can.

DAY 39

James is alive, he decides one day. Peter has hidden things from him before, perhaps his death is another of his lies. Perhaps the only tragedy is their separation.James is alive.A dangerous thing it was, to hope, to believe in a plausible lie. But in there...who could ever prove him wrong?Finally there is comfort in isolation.
