NaNoWriMo:

2017:

I figured out that my genre is “literary fairy tale”

2018:

I discovered that the genre “literary fairy tale” is unsustainable at 50K words (without a ridiculous, mind-numbing, level of verbal diarrhea). Therefore:

For 2019:

I’m already planning on making my protagonist an itinerant storyteller. That way, I can write my NaNo novel by having him tell several short stories, instead of trying to milk one long story for more than ten times its optimal length.

(I mean, it worked for Chaucer, and his Canterbury Tales, right?
