Hey guys!
Most of you have probably seen my rants about straightforward communication. It's good stuff in all sorts of relationships, whether between friends, family, significant others, etc. There's really no place where the honest, straightforward approach (at least the first time) isn't the best way to go.
Tonight's situation just proved that. I was feeling pretty angsty (thank you, hormones, for adding to a legitimate feeling that didn't need your help) and sad, so I talked to my mom. She basically gave me some advice that convinced me to follow my own policy of straightforward communication. I did, and it worked, and now I might actually go to sleep happy.
Yay :)
