We saw Mt Fuji for the first time on an epic Shinkansen ride from Kagoshima to Tokyo. Sat next to a Thai military general and his son, the general sporting one Rolex on each wrist. (He assured us that they were genuine, purchased in Japan). Travel puts you in the most interesting position to meet people that you would never some across otherwise. They had the inside story on when and where we would be able to see Mt Fuji from the speeding train, allowing me to capture this fleeting memory on a rare clear day. This week, our families have booked airfares and we are all going on an amazing adventure in November. It's going to be wonderful, and I'll see this mountain close up for the first time. #fujisan #japan #travel #wonder #strangemeetings #vscocam
