Apollo has the worst love life-
– I'm honestly tired of this trend and hearing this again and again from people who know no more than Daphne and Hyacinthus and probably Cassandra. To people who say this: guess what? You're so wrong.
"Most of Apollo's lovers were turned into plants or flowers or were cursed" this is so inaccurate! Only three of his lovers turned into vegetation. And one got cursed - Cassandra and tbh she kinda deserved it because she was a little greedy and deceived Apollo and earned her curse (it's only in Roman mythology that Apollo cursed her for not fuckin him. In Greek version, it's because she broke her promise. Greek & Roman versions shouldn't be mixed up!) and that's it. There ends Apollo's "worst" love life where his lovers suffer because of him.
But why don't people talk about Hyacinth's resurrection? Or how Admetus and Cyrene became immortal because of him? There are so many other lovers, like Rhoeo, Euadne, Corycia, Ourea, Branchus, Helenus and so many more. He also took care of his lovers when they were pregnant and eased their birthpain/sent someone to help, even took complete responsibility of the child sometimes.
Yeah he wasn't the best or the most respectful, but most of the times he was as respectful as a god can afford.
How can you even call him the worst?? I'm so disturbed by this tendency of Tumblr users
