Alana blinked at the circle of light that surrounded her then slowly slid over her body from head to toe. Wow. Beautiful couldn't even begin to describe the sight she was seeing. "O-of course." The blonde nodded quickly. So what did that mean? She possessed a mana lobe? Nothing was making sense to her. Unconsciously the heiress's hand came up to rub at her temple.
The doctor's voice broke through her thoughts and Alana shifted on the bed, swinging her legs down and gently standing. She felt amazing, no pain. Not even a residual soreness. "Yes, I feel amazing. Wow, that's extraordinary. Like ma-" She let her words die in her throat. No, she couldn't go around thoughtlessly saying things. Not when there were so many unanswered questions. "Thank you doctor."
“You’re welcome. Try not to come back soon,” the doctor smiled, patting Alana on the shoulder. “Nancy will settle things up on your way out.” The nurse bowed politely and waited until Alana was ready to move.
Alvin was still in the waiting room when they arrived, sprawled out loosely but not actually asleep. He levered one eye open. “Hey, you look a lot better than you did twenty minutes ago,” he observed, shifting to his feet. “Any extra treatments we need to keep an eye on?” he asked the nurse.
“No, she should be fine. There’s just the matter of settling the bill for the doctor’s examination and healing artes,” the nurse said. “Give me a moment to get the paperwork written up.”
