Gets trips, for reasons. ;)
A crisp air covered the backstage area, as Hunter pushed himself further in. Smackdown, this wasn’t his home anymore. Neither was Raw, but alas. Monday night seemed to suit him much better, dressed in more casual clothes. Lacking his now trademark suit, he’s not the businessman tonight, this isn’t business after all. He’s here for a reason, and he’s here not to draw any attention to himself. The older male halted his steps for a moment, just a second. To observe the backstage setting, various superstars hanging around, taking up space for the most part. He’s worked with a lot of them, sharing a couple of looks with the former NXT talent he can see. He’s proud of them, makes him feel like his work is worthwhile given they’re all on the main roster now. That’s the goal, and maybe without his help. It would’ve never happened for them. That’s what his ego wants him to believe, even in older age. The egotistical nature of the Cerebral assassin hasn’t faded, it probably never will. And he’s become content with such a thing.
Hunter further moves down the area, his pace now increased, it’s not steady anymore, almost like there’s a hustle in his walk. He needs to get to his goal, and nothing is going to stop him from doing that. He’s even rushed to put his hand on the nearby door handle, until….A sound, a snicker, a laugh, a chuckle. He can’t seem to put his finger on it. A turn, as he becomes accustomed with the source of the noise. Eyes almost narrowed instantly, he’s got history with the other. Bloody, brutal history. Hunter can’t help but let out a laugh as his eyes drain onto the other’s shoulder.
“Ambrose..” Bluntly stated, not even giving him the time of day. “Almost didn’t even notice you, without that title over your shoulder.” A lick of his lips, before forming into a shit eating grin. “How’s it feel? Sucks doesn’t it? And the fact you got SCREWED out of the title makes the entire thing worse…Gotta say, couldn’t of happened to a nicer guy.” It’s hostile, his tone. He doesn’t care, he can handle himself if Dean wants to throw down. He isn’t afraid, not even intimidated of the other. There’s not much hatred left in him anymore, but there’s still disdain directed towards the former champion. There always will be.
