//Just a warning before I start, this is full of feels and death and saddness. I was crying while writing it, and it makes me sad to post this and say goodbye to strength-above-all my main Darius. She allowed me to write this, and it was written with her approval and her tears as well. This takes place before a lot of the rps that I have currently going. This means that Talon is still sad, but no one knows, and he tells no one. Anyway without further ado, HAVE SOME FEELS!!!
It had been a hard day. They had been travelling to get back to Noxus after a nasty engagement with the forces of Zuan, and it was a hard run back. Talon was injured, and Darius had shed much of his armor to move faster. Darius was half carrying Talon through the woods, and they had to stop because the assassin was in too much pain. A short rest and they would move on. But that short rest was not well lived, for not even five minutes after they stopped, they were set upon by what was following them. The fight was quick, but it was bloody. Talon was able to fend off most of the attacks that came his way, but Darius was taking the brunt of it. And without his armor to deflect damage, he was taking more injuries then was safe to handle. There was more than they thought and though all were dead, Darius was quickly bleeding out.
The assassin moved quickly dragging himself across the ground towards his husband. "Darius no!!!" He said as he moved forward and got next to where the big man was kneeling. Darius' breathing was laboured, as he held onto his axe. "No no no no...We were supposed to get out we were supposed to live." Talon said as he dragged his ass around to in front of Darius putting his hands on Darius' face. Talon's leg was likely broken, and he would have problems for a while walking. Darius smiled down at the assassin and put his large hand on the side of Talon's face, leaving a trail of blood. "No my assassin, you were supposed to get out and live. I knew I wasn't going to make it." He said softly leaning his forehead against Talon's. Talon was crying, trying not to feel completely helpless.
The bigger man was bleeding out, and Talon couldn't stop it. He tried to stop it, but Darius just stopped him. "Just come lay with me for a bit Talon. Please?" He asked him, wiping away the tears that were streaming down his face. "I can't lose you. I've already lost so many.....I can't lose you Darius...My love." He said softly, trying to stop crying.
"We knew this day would....come. It was inevitable my love. We're the best Noxus has to offer, and it goes....without saying...that...we would be targeted..." Darius said as he tried to keep breathing. He held onto Talon's hand and Talon was gripping it back so that Darius would stay longer. The assassin was kneeling with his husband's head pillowed in his lap, and was trying so hard not to cry. "Will you sing to me, that song we sang on the balcony that morning?" Darius asked as he kept his hand against Talon's cheek. One of Talon's hands kept the bigger man's hand against his cheek, and Talon gave a gasping breath nodding.
"Heart beats fast, colours and promises, how to be brave, how can I love when I'm afraid to fall, but watching you stand alone, all of my doubts, suddenly goes away somehow. One step closer....I have died every day waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more." Talon managed to get out and Darius sang it with him in a pained baritone voice. The agony that Darius must be going through and Talon couldn't stop it, he couldn't take it away, and he felt so helpless.
"Time stands still. Beauty in all he is, I will be brave, I will not let anything take away, but standing in front of me, every breath every hour has come to this. One step closer....I have died every day waiting for you, darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more." Halfway through that verse, Darius stopped singing, but he was still breathing.
"One step closer...One step closer....I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you, for a thousand years, I love you for a thousand more. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more." Darius smiled up at Talon even through the pain and he spoke softly, no louder then a whisper. "I loved you from the first time I saw you in those sewers Talon....I will always love you, and I'll be waiting for you to cross over. Live for me....I love you." He said before he closed his eyes and his body went limp.
"No, no no no! Darius please stay a little while longer!!!" Talon begged, but it was to no avail. The man was pale, and gone. The assassin curled over Darius' face and cried his heart out. A Noxian patrol found him like that a few minutes later, still crying. The soldiers tried to pull Talon away, but were not successful, and carried Darius' body off with Talon clinging to it, still crying. Once they returned to Noxus, Talon was moved to the care of Katarina and Cassiopeia, while Darius was turned over to Draven until Talon could get his shit together.
The funeral happened quickly and after that Talon disappeared off on his own. He needed to be alone to grieve and mourn. It was a long time before Talon was able to get back.
Wrong place, wrong time ((closed rp with strength-above-all))
Talon pounced down on his target, blade slicing into his throat, the dagger in his free hand piercing his back, and thus his heart. The assassin's trench coat covered the gruesome scene at first, the hood over his head hiding his identity. It looked like he were no more than a crouching male from how the dark shadows masked the swiftly pooling blood.
Talon was worse for wear. Things were going much worse for Talon then he had thought. He had waited for three weeks for Darius to come home. And he had his own missions to run, that kept him away. But that didn’t mean that Darius was unable to keep his correspondence. And when the group of military professionals came to his door, and told him, Talon had shut the door in their faces after everything was dealt with, his medals given over to him, as had been written in Darius’ will.
And every day after that was a very teary and emotional assassin. Any one who came by the flat would get threatened, or attacked. And on the first year anniversary of Darius’ death, the assassin left his house to travel where they had buried the love of his life, and he pulled the helmet off, that nonshining helmet, with the dirty clothes, and the unshaven face. Nearly six months of not shaving gave the assassin a very grisly appearance. When he got to the graveyard, he had the flowers in his hand. Kneeling at the grave site that took him nearly three minutes to find, the assassin put the flowers down, and pulled the weeds out to clean up the grave site. “You are an asshole for leaving me. You are the strongest…were the strongest man I ever knew. There is nothing more for me in life. How eloquent would it be for me to just commit suicide here.”
It was then that the rage that had been simmering under the pain and saddness roared to life, and assassin left before he damaged the only standing monument of Darius that was left to the world.
Fifth Year
Rage. 4 years of it. Every year he visited that same place and put the flowers down, but did not linger. Did not threaten to commit suicide. He wanted to join his love, but he would not take the cowards way out. How would Darius look at him if he did that? But being the best of the best meant that it was very hard for him to be killed so that he could join the one person he wanted to be it. “Damn you, you bastard. Why did you have to teach me more about killing and not being killed. I just want to be with you.” Talon raged, kicking the vase of flowers over. White orchids this year. Last year was red roses. He would buy what was there on his way. The rage broke momentarily and he knelt down to right the vase, and pull the flowers back up. “I just want to be with you again…” He said sadly leaning his head against the headstone.
Tenth Year
He had to make it there. That poetic eloquence. He needed it. It had to be perfect. He needed that, for him. And Darius. The assassin stumbled as he hit the gate for the graveyard. He headed for the gravestone, his adversary right behind him. There was a single rose, in white, in his hand. He tripped and sprawled out on the grass that grew on Darius’s grave. A harsh cough spread blood and spit over the grass. “Any last words?” The assassin that had tracked the Crimson Elite Talon to the grave. “No, not for you.” Talon rasped out, placing the white rose, stained in spots with his own blood, on the base of the gravestone, coughing hard again, before feeling the knife slide across his throat and the rest of his blood life slip out onto the grass.
A spectre was all that remained of the proud assassin. And as it floated up out of the dead body, he saw the sprawled Crimson Elite assassin, and realized it was himself, the hand holding the rose loose and touching the base. As the spectre looked around himself, he saw a large armored man leaning against the headstone. “You finally managed it.”
"Had to train him myself." Talon said with a smile as he floated over next to the other man, and embraced him.
"Well done. Let’s rest, we finally earned it." Darius said softly, holding the assassin close.
There's a red present with a bow in it left on the table with a note on it that reads, "Merry Christmas baby, I'm sorry I had to miss the first part of it, but here you go. -Dar" Inside of the present would be three custom blades, one white, one silver, and one black each with a different word engraved on it. The blades are wrapped up inside of a black and golden cape.
Talon saw the present and got curious, a smile on his face as he opened the present. Pulling out the cape first, he carefully unwrapped each knife from it, and swung it onto his shoulders. He read the words on the knives, Strength, Honour, and Power. Everything a Noxian should remember in life.
The date had been set, and the cloths hid. That morning when Talon woke up, he took the teleporter to Piltover, where they had arranged to wedding to take place, and met with Caitlynn, who had all his clothing for the wedding, as well as her own, and all the other bridesmaids. The suits and corresponding ties were all with Darius and Draven to be worn by the ushers. He was feeling rather relaxed given the fact that he was getting married, and had never thought that this was a possibility.
Conversation was calm and flowing around him, as they did up his hair. Magically changed back to the black it should be, to contrast his clothing properly, there was a headband of red roses holding the veil in place. Talon was always the 'woman' in this relationship, and he had wanted to do something out of the ordinary for a pair of men getting married. He wanted something different. He was wearing white boxers, with his cream coloured vest, and white dress shirt, but that was it with white dress socks. The girls were all in various states of undress and dressed, but he couldn't care. The man he loved was in another area of the town of Piltover getting ready with all the other men that were going to stand with them. This was set to be one of the biggest weddings Valoran had ever seen this year.
Finally it was time to get into the dress, and he removed the dress shirt and the vest. He was stopped momentarily when some of the women saw the tattoos on his back to inspect them. He was laughing softly as he slid the dress over his head and slipped his feet into dress shoes made to his feet specifications. The vest came back on, and then the suit jacket tailored to him.
The assassin was happier then he had been in a long time, and he was more then ready to walk down the isle with Fate to Darius so that they could be finally bound to each other till death do they part. The photographer was in the room snapping photos quickly of them all, and he held Kat close since she was his matron of honour. It was better to marry a strong man he loved then one he would need to protect from the streets let alone everything else.
Finally all was ready and there was a knock on the door that signaled that Fate was there to walk him down the Aisle. It was time.
