It's been eight months since the premiere of "Samurai Jack" Season 5, which yours truly has finally seen and absolutely loved!!! 😃😍 15 years has passed since the lone samurai warrior's journey, to return home from the future and end Aku's reign of terror. Sadly, fate has an unfair sense of humor, for the Samurai has finally broken down and given up all hope of ever returning home. Season 5 doesn't just concludes the Hero's journey in the most satisfying way, but it presents the most human and vulnerable side to Jack like we've never seen before. His morals are also put to the test, as this is much an internal battle with himself and the doubt he has, whether or not he's forgotten his purpose and those he loves. Even so, Jack found the strength within him to conquer his fears, doubts, and triumphs over the bringer of destruction and embodiment of all that is evil, essentially achieving redemption. 😄👊🏻 Accompanying the Samurai in the final stages of his journey is a young woman named Ashi (played wonderfully by the always awesome and gorgeous, Tara Strong! ☺💘). Ashi was born and raised by her cruel, cold hearted mother for one reason and one reason alone, to slay the Samurai in the name of Aku. Ashi soon learns the errors of what she was told since childhood. The Samurai shows Ashi the light, purging the darkness and hatred from her heart, thus she is reborn with a new found hope, one the Samurai finds as well! 😁😋 Seeing many of the characters we've grown to love throughout the series, there couldn't have been a better way for Genndy Tartakovsky to end what remains one of my all-time favorite TV Series growing up. The show many consider to be the kids' version of the Anime/Manga, "Berserk", which is quite an accurate comparison. 😃 #SamuraiJack #HerosJourney #Ashi #FateVsFreewill #StrengthHonorCourage
