- - Connection

      Another winter night brought a chill to her bones as she walked through the cool air. Looks like her jacket wasn't cut out for this colder weather. Her face was red as she followed her soul gem's glowing light to her next fight's location, whether it be a familiar or witch. Solemn honey eyes stared at the soul gem, glowing bright yellow and clean. Mami knew she didn't need the grief seed but still not knowing her condition and how it worked, she could never be too prepared. 

      Her steps stopped as she locked eyes with the witch's barrier in front of her. Well at least she was more guaranteed to a grief seed tonight. She held out her soul gem as her jacket was traded for the magical girl uniform she bared. Her eyes had small flicks of violet and a large shield appeared on her left forearm. Her soul gem the same as her eyes, honey but with flicks of violet. The result of two soul gems fusing.

      The witch seemed to have a twisted barrier of her own. Colorful as all the others with mice and other things. She recognized this place and suddenly a chill came down her spine. Had she really not faced that witch yet? A witch that had been her demise almost many times in the past, suddenly she had to come face it at this moment. Though she was different from before. With Akemi-san's blessing, she would defeat this witch and not perish here. She had promised Miki-san and Akemi-san.

      With a deep breathe she continued forward. No one was here to help her. She was on her own. She would focus and not fall to the witch that was ahead of her.
