Art Deco Nails à la The Great Gatsby
So the other night I went to see “The Great Gatsby” for the second time. I had predicted that I would love this movie and I wasn’t let down. It’s absolutely amazeballs!! I will probably go back to the movies several more times because I just like the atmosphere sooo much. Baz Luhrmann, a mature Leonardo DiCaprio, good supporting actors, a great story and these pictures … the more I write about it, the more I feel the need to watch it right now, lol. Anyhows, I didn’t have time to do Art Deco Nails the first time I went, so I had to catch up on that. Admittedly, it’s nothing near to what the queens of striping tape such as Nailasaurus do, but I’m quite pleased with the neat outcome. Once you settle for a pattern and have everything prepared in advance, it’s actually not that complicated and I think I will tackle more intricate patterns in the near future. For this mani, I used Wet’n’Wild Black Creme and Barry M Foil Effect Gold. I’m surprised how well that gold tone goes with my skin - I always thought I couldn’t use it for anything but stamping.
And now go and watch that movie :)
