Strong alliance, strong decisions — the Ukraine Defense Contact Group met for the 9th time to commit assistance to Ukraine 🇺🇦 Here are the results 👇
1️⃣ A consortium of countries — including Germany, Poland, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands — are working together to provide Leopard tanks.
2️⃣ The United States, Germany, and the Netherlands are working together to provide Patriot air-defense systems. France and Italy are working to provide a SAMP/T air-defense system.
3️⃣ The United States, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands are jointly providing more than 90 T-72 tanks. This is in addition to Poland's latest donation of T-72s.
4️⃣ The UK has provided a company of Challenger tanks and has worked with several countries to source more ammunition for Ukraine's defenders.
5️⃣ The partners are working together on training for the Ukrainian Armed Forces through training initiatives.
These crucial steps make the victory of Ukraine (and the free, democratic, peaceful world) closer. Thank you, partners, for standing with Ukraine! 💪
