Percepectives on the Perceived Homosexual Culture
stronglyopinionated @nohateneccesary So, in conversation with a friend, he stated that when coming out two girls whom he knew claimed the fact that they now had a "gay" friend. Here's my issue. This isn't fkn "Breakfast at Tiffany's" nor is it "Paris Hilton's my BFF". No! Some people tend to think I'm homophobic but they're wrong in that - I hate the image. To be Gay is to be automatically placed within this falsified culture that has been created by the media that is so fake that it strongly puts me off. The truth is that a lot of people that are gay don't resemble the culture they are objectively placed into. I don't understand why things have to be like this. Do homosexuals now believe that to be gay is to resemble this image? The problem this causes is that by being its own culture it separates itself from all others and as a result allows itself to be subsidized and ultimately ostracized from society. Some people may argue that that may be who they truly are but to me I see that as a false personality built on the perceptions of the straight community by uniquely independent figures that unknowingly represent a wider community of perfectly normal homosexual people. I'm fine with homosexuals. I'm not fine with the image. It's not real. It's fake - and I hate fake. Be who you are. Not what society already thinks you are. lgbt culture reality
