writers and artists will eventually have to decide if they want a class system that allows them to elbow ahead of others in celebrity and fortune, or if they want a class system that guarantees them the time, stability, and quality of life that comes at the cost of having a more elevated life/status than your peers.

this isn’t a bit, or a lazy sentiment. eventually you, sitting behind the screen and thinking endlessly about your future of publication deals, interviews, netflix shows, red carpets, and money to waste will have to decide if you want that capitalist fantasy of succeeding where others fail, or if you want a system that reduces the stakes of fame and fortune but affords you and others the time to work on those creative dreams. Yes, at the cost of the Netflix fantasy.
