Far and Near
So as I mentioned earlier this week, I meet a lot of interesting people in and around the metro area. And it's cool, ya know? I've had experiences I otherwise wouldn't have had and I can certainly say my life has been enriched because of it.
But yesterday I think I had one of the most unique ones coming out of my blog.
Yesterday, I met Stuart Wainstock.
Wait, what? You're not completely amazed by this?
Okay, wait. Let me write that again.
*ahem*
Yesterday, I met Stuart Wainstock, a new resident of Minneapolis who religiously followed the 365 Music Project from Portland. You know, in Oregon. And here's the kicker: guy didn't even know at some point, he'd be relocating to the 612.
Yeah. Like, way cooler, right? Right.
And Stuart, along with his brother, started a little project of their own whilst occupying the streets and concert venues of Portland, called Rose City Live.
So when I hit up last night's show at the Kitty Cat Klub, I was excited to finally meet my friend and one of Minneapolis' newest esteemed music followers. And if that wasn't enough, it made my heart full to see him actively engaged in our scene less than a week after relocating. Cause that dude, knew to hit up the Prissy Clerks show last week at Nick & Eddie. Hells yeah.
It's always been my hope to share my love of the Twin Cities music scene with our residents, yes, but also with those outside the metro who may not otherwise have known just how much talent we have readily available virtually any night of the week.
So, I ask you, my fair fellow Minnesotans and beyond, please welcome and follow Minneapolis' newest contributor to the local music scene, Rose City Live. Judging by last night's photos, I think Stuart is going to make a wonderful addition to our local community.
