A Student Project From 22 Years Ago
Back in 2004 I was taking a film photography class at an American university in London. It was the last year they offered the course before everything went digital, and I just happened to have the exact same model of camera they were lending other students so I didn't have to borrow one which was cool.
We were told to get some Ilford Hp5 and go out and do various prompts and play with different things like depth of field.
I would like very much to reconnect with my professor who is now apparently an editor for a magazine in Munich.
Here is the roll I shot in nearby Richmond Park and hand-developed, scanned from negatives that sat in poor conditions and aged into a rough, ethereal look enhanced by my poor developing technique and the failing light meter battery in the K1000. A feast of wabi-sabi.
