Yesterday, MxCC student Tyquan Crump held a Valentine's Bake Sale in the Student Lounge. Tyquan has enthusiastically been raising money over the last year and a half to award student scholarships. To date, Ty has raised enough money for two $500 scholarships this year, to be used in the Fall 2016 semester. Yesterday, Ty actually exceeded his goal to fund a third scholarship. He raised over $500 yesterday at his bake sale. Student Senate also donated funds to purchase paper goods and ingredients to make the baked goods, and Steve from Mom's Kitchen helped Ty make the bake sale items. Proceeds will go to the MxCC Foundation to fund the Tyquan Crump Higher Ambition Scholarship Award.

Just a little update, we now have a convenient little 'Ask box' in the description. So please feel free to drop us a question (it can even be anon) if there's anything at all you want to vent/ask advice on!!

Study is stressful, but you don't have to deal with it alone.

Have you noticed that everything seems to happen at the same time? Be it all your essays are due at once, all your group assignments have to present in the same week, or all your subjects decide to have SACs in the same week?

It's so annoying. But if it's any consolation, you are not alone. 

Take a few deep breathes. Seriously, just sit there for a minute - inhale, then exhale. And repeat.

Now tell me, what is due first? And then what is going to take the most time? Prioritise - if you know you need to spend more time on one project or studying for one subject, then make the time. Break a task up into smaller sections and focus on that. Sometimes it's not so scary as soon as break it up and know what you need to do first. 

And most importantly, look after yourself. Take breaks and give yourself breaks. Don't be too harsh on yourself.
