to any high school seniors following me: a random but very fun decision i made around this time last year was to buy disposable cameras to photograph my last semester of high school, and i recently got most of them developed and it was a very fun time capsule of that precipice. that said, if you are looking for a fun way to document your last bit of high school -- highly recommend, bonus points if you wait until a bit into college to develop (though my decision to do so was just a struggle to find a store that would give me back my negatives lmao)

i’ve never posted pictures of myself on my blog, but just a little moment:

i am a first-generation student, at a title one school, in alabama and i got into harvard. HARVARD. the first college degree to have my last name on it will also say harvard too.

this feels like all the hard work finally, finally paying off.

thank y’all so much for being part of the last year or so of this journey, and i hope y’all stay for the part the happens in cambridge.

lol throughout all of middle school/underclassman years of high school i was like “i would hate being a teacher--especially an english teacher” and now here i am pretty confident im gonna be a high school english teacher after college

hey! i don’t know if you’re comfortable sharing, but if you are, how are you studying ap literature? i took ap lang last year and ended up getting a 2, which was kinda a let down bc my teacher told me my essays were great all year. i also know that the multiple choice questions when you analyze the text they give you are not my strong suite either, i didn’t get above a 60 on any of the practice ones. do you have any advice as to how you approach text analysis? thank you!

honestly, i don’t really know how to answer this because i’m not sure i have an actual studying technique for english. english has always been my strongest subject and it comes incredibly naturally to me. the best advice i could give would be to just do a lot of reading/writing, but also review the collegeboard rubrics and sample essays that are on the ap central because they are hugely helpful. that said, if you ever wanted to ask me anything more specific that’s more than okay!! (again, sorry there’s not much proper advice i could offer you)

i do not know how i managed that five in bio, but i am not going to question it.

i told myself i was gonna brush up on my chemistry over the summer since im taking ap chem senior year and i didnt have the best chem teacher sophomore year but instead ive made about 30 tiktoks this week.
