- Peer tutors “speak the same language” and can connect with the student.

- Peer tutors provide academic support.

- Peer tutors serve as role models for their student tutees.

- Peer tutors often have great energy and enthusiasm for what they do because it’s a new function for them.

- Because your student is working with another student, he/she may be less anxious, may be more comfortable and less afraid to ask a “stupid” question.
