"Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve"
Let's assume there's ANYTHING right about using this reasoning for a second.
1) Okay so God said "Adam and Eve", "man and woman", right? Okay, well, it doesn't say anything about them being straight, though, does it? So. Adam and Eve could've been LGBTQ for all we know.
2) Okay, okay. Adam and Eve, you say. Well, yes, that's what the FIRST people were. Why on Earth should that ever mean that everyone should be just like that, as well? Just saying, I'm pretty sure both Adam and Eve had one hair color and eye color, as well as race (which most likely wouldn't be white, for the record, but that's a topic for a different day). Now, does that mean that everyone NOT like that is wrong? First =/=the only right thing.
3) Finally, my last argument. Adam was created based off of God, right? God created Adam to match himself. For a second, let's say Adam was white, cis, male and straight. Okay. I never claimed to be like God, attempt to be like God, or wish to be like God. And to say that you are or should be is plain blasphemy, because you simply cannot be like God. Nor are you supposed to. Therefore, Adam has nothing to do with you or me.
Now, let's drop the act and be real.
Nobody has any right to use THE BIBLE as an argument against anyone else. You know why? This isn't a theocracy. I'm not obligated to follow some book someone else is obsessed with. This doesn't mean you can't believe. But leave me out of it. I have ZERO obligation to obey YOUR religion. For the record, I'm an agnostic, which basically means that every single religious book/document is equally plausible and means equally much. Which isn't a lot. To put it simpler, saying "God said Adam and Eve" is the same as saying "Snow White said polygamy".
And just to be clear, this last bit is strictly my own belief system. If someone who's LGBTQ wants to believe in anything they possibly do, they have every right to do so. Much more so because the Bible doesn't actually say anything against being gay. It really doesn't. But that's not for me to explain.
