All right, Dib was familiar enough with the horror and sci-fi genres to know that the giant, inexplicable house that had appeared out of nowhere--and which no one else seemed to notice--definitely warranted an investigation. Stationed from behind one of the messy, unkempt bushes that overtook this part of town, he leaned forward with a cellphone pressed to his ear. "No, I don't know where it came from! Zim--he's the alien I keep chasing--might be involved, but it doesn't really look like something he'd make. I mean, it's not purple all over. Or green, and I kind of doubt he's gotten better at disguising things. I'm gonna go over and take a look." He crept out from behind the bushes, pausing in his speech. "...Right, of course I'll be careful. It doesn't look too--Hello?" The phone had erupted in static. "Agent Darkbootie?" Dib cringed. "You wouldn't happen to be going through a tunnel or anything, would you?" He turned around and lowered the phone. The city behind him had vanished completely. Dib sighed and snapped the phone closed. "Yeah, that figures." Only one thing to do for right now, then, really. After all, even though he'd lost contact with the Swollen Eyeballs, he still had an investigation to undertake. Dib traded his cellphone for the camera in his pocket and turned back around to regard the mansion in front of him, suddenly feeling just a teensy bit more leery of this whole scenario. Drawing himself up, he walked over and rapped three times on one of the front doors. Hopefully this wouldn't end up like the last time he'd investigated a strange mansion that had appeared out of nowhere. Dib shuddered.
