where does it say it takes $$ to have style, it takes a little more effort but style can be achieved without breaking the bank. it has been said lots of times but how many fashionistas actually follow that example? not many....
if i like a YSL jacket I can’t buy one at h&m and convince myself it’s the same. iT’S NOT!! so how to achieve the impossible? Like i said before, it takes effort, a whole lot of it.... and some sacrifice.
if i need a jacket i will scour sample sales, clearance racks at nieman’s or saks and keep checking ebay... sure enough it’l turn up, albeit not in the same color or size but if you are handy with a pair of scissors and not afraid to use a needle you can stitch up some wonders and be proud of it.
my tip is, be prepared not to find staple pieces but be prepared to expand your style horizons to test the seasonal fare from your beloved brand... that Dolce and Gabbana dress you are yearning for, you might find the maxi dress and not the a-line and you can work your scissor magic to make it your own... or your “basic chanel” may be hot pink or lime green sequence as opposed to the black everyone keeps harping about as that’s what you will find on sale 80%off.
So quick update; I’ve decided it’d be better if I pulled Style for Less posts from the schedule and instead added widgets below posts with similar items whenever I can find some. It seems to be a much better way of doing things. So expect those to start popping up over the next few days. I’ll still be tagging them as ‘Style for Less’ so the posts are easy to locate.

I had a look on the World Market website and found these, for $4.79, which are very similar to Felicity’s - I think the only difference is they don’t have a diamante on the stud. Great find!
I’ve had a look around online and the only results that I’ve found in re Jess’s scarf are that it’s the Eugenia Kim ‘Lane’ Knit Infinity Scarf - but tbh the material doesn’t even look the same so I’m not convinced that it actually is. I’ll have a look around and see if I can find any that are a closer match, maybe try tweeting Stephanie Maslansky (@spmaslansky) about it - she was the costume designer on both Jessica Jones and Daredevil.
