I designed these shirts to pay homage to some legendary athletes who were blackballed for using their platform to empower black people and educate the masses on the corruption that continuously takes place in the United States. Craig Hodges: blackballed for delivering a hand-written letter to President George W. Bush addressing the issues of black people. Mahmoud Abdoul-Rauf: Blackballed after sparking controversy during his NBA career when he refused to stand for the national anthem in a sign of protest. Colin Kaepernick: Blackballed for kneeling during the national anthem before each game as a silent protest against police brutality and racial injustice. Muhammad Ali: Refused to serve in the Vietnam War and was immediately stripped of his heavyweight title and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
