Trans advice needed!!

Does anyone know of a reputable place to get needles and syringes online?

My pharmacy suddenly told me that they don't supply my needed size of needles (LOL) and that I'd probably have better luck ordering online. However, each site I find, or see that other people have recommended, all have low trust scores on scam review websites. Overall, I'm kinda hesitant to buy needles that I don't know for sure will be sterile or sharp.

I asked my trans friends, my university pride center, AND my state trans equity group, and none have good answers. Overall I'm feeling a little lost and helpless.

(I could always switch pharmacies but for accessibility I don't want to have to drive more than 20 minutes and that seems like the only option right now.)

So if you get your needles online I'd LOVE to hear more about your experiences and if you've found it safe/reliable!!

Just did my sub-q shot and I’ve never gotten a reaction like this. It didn’t bleed a lot just a tiny bit, like I nicked a vessel. Didn’t hurt. Doesn’t itch. And no bump. It IS hot to the touch though.

Is this any cause for alarm?

Daily T shots - Daily T injections - 1 month 12 days

There is so much new hair popping up all over. My arms, my legs, my stomach, and my face. It’s still new hair growth so it’s blonde hairs of all different lengths. My voice is cracking and all over the place. My acne is flaring up today like crazy. And I think my vile of T has like 1 more dose left. I'm so surprised to see changes this quickly.  But that's the best surprise I’ve ever been given. And having a shot every day sucks, but Im happy that it’s at a point where it sucks like doing the dishes sucks. The anxiety is way lower and I feel really in control and I think I just needed to adapt to it. My whole family is kinda freaked out by needles and stuff so I don't really get to talk about it and I think I would like to more. Because it’s still something new and when you compare the idea that I will be doing this every day for the rest of my life, It really makes you see that this is worth allowing me to talk about and is a big enough deal to want family input in some way. This may sound weird but since being on t and feeling the excitement and weirdness of a male puberty I’ve been thinking more and more about my childhood and how I do feel a bit cheated. I always draw back to the thought “What if there was like some summer camp type shit for grown ass people who are trans to just learn and experience some of the things we didn’t get to as kids”. It makes me sad. like I don't have prom pictures and it’s simple moments that I just don't have but I feel silly that I still want some things/experiences from childhood/teenage years. I’m grateful tho for being able to be alive to see this. I really didn’t think I’d make it. I'm so happy that I survived all those suicide attempts and I'm so happy that my friends and family have been there for me. And I'm so glad that transitioning has helped to start me on opening my eyes to the love around me.

Did my first T shot yesterday, i thought I would hesitate doing a self injection but I was fine. The only bit that hurt was removing the band-aid later that day. I was on gel for about 10.5 months but then had some issues w my insurance so switched to subq shots after being off of T completely for a month. Next week I do my shot in front of the nurses one more time and hopefully get cleared to do my own at home.

Any of my followers on here do sub-q? A friend of mine just had his first shot and is experiencing some tenderness, burning, redness, and hardness at the spot of his injection that was yesterday.

I don’t have any experience with sub q but would like to hear from anyone that has so I can give my friend some advice, reassure him until he can contact his doctor tomorrow.

I apologize in advance if you've addressed this before but I haven't seen anything on it. How do you feel about testosterone as a vitamin supplement instead of an injection. I have a ton of scar tissue on my thighs from when I was in high school and I have been trying to look into it as an alternative. Thanks in advance!

i don’t know anything about valid options as far as testosterone as a pill. if you’re talking testosterone boosters then they only work for cis men who have naturally produced testosterone levels, and will be really bad for your liver and kidneys. there are options besides injecting into your thighs, you can inject IM in your ass (which is really common) or more uncommonly even in your calves and delts i believe. you can also do sub-q injections in many areas of the body including your hips, outer thighs, and stomach. besides that you can also do topical testosterone gels/creams, and there’s pellets you can have injected by a doctor that last for several months. there’s lots of options!
