Aww, I'm glad you enjoy reading these stories so much! And yeah, Toby was not meant to play as big a role as he did but, like always, the story got away from me.
That's a good thing though. After all, what's the point of a story if you're not having fun?

Arty gasped and nearly slammed herself out of her wheelchair, eyes widening as she saw Cana curled up on the floor. "Cana!!" She cried out as she fell to the floor, collapsing next to her brother. Quickly she pulled herself over to him, holding his shoulder gently. "Nurse!!! Somebody!!! Help!!! We need help!!" She yelled out to the hall, praying silently someone would hurry up and help Cana.
Cana's breathing hitched slightly when he cried out, the sound seeming to bounce off the temples of his head and cause more pain. Hitched and broken cries escaped him as squeaks and desperate grasps for some sort of release of the pain, shaking and twitching hands reaching for her's. He let out a sharp scream as it got worse, begging for someone to knock him out, if not just kill him. Just make it stop... Please just make it stop....
"I know your secret."
"When you know more about me, then I know about you.", the small gargoyle replied rather suspicious looking. His experiences with strangers had taught him to be careful.
"What exactly do you think to know?”
