What do you think about Gavan infinity ep 5? Can’t wait for ep 6

I really enjoyed this episode. I think we're starting to get more signs of greater lore and I'm really interested in seeing what we are going to be seeing in the future. I really enjoyed everything with Reiji and Setsuna and how Setsuna is gradually finding his footing and what it really means for him to live for himself. I'm very fond of how, due to his contributions to his realizations, Reiji is called Reiji-dono, even though we know he'd be fine with just being called Reiji. I think it shows gratitude for his particular guidance, but also acknowledges that they are equals as Gavans to some degree as he drops calling Reiji "Doki Reiji-dono" to "Reiji-dono" after he assists Setsuna in saving Rui. (Still learning about the -dono honorific, as it's not one often used in everyday settings, but it seems to not be as formal as -sama, which would be used for those above you, but is still formal but also less personal than -san? Though Setsuna likely uses it instead of -san due to being Gavan Bushido it's still interesting to think about.)

I've already talked at length about my thoughts about Setsuna in this episode, but he really does shine in this one in a way I think only he can. He just is still figuring out what it means to be Gavan Bushido beyond duty itself and the responsibility it entails. He's also figuring out himself as he begins to recognize his care for things and people and how that ties into his position as Gavan. It's all really great and I just am finding myself to enjoy his character more and more as time passes.

I'm also extremely fond of Rui and how she is a force to be reckoned with. She is a capable fighter and director that Setsuna respects and follows with care. I like how she wants Setsuna to take care of the things he cares for and encourages him to act as he pleases. Though it's something that hasn't been talked about in the show, in the character profiles it was revealed that Rui looks like the one who named Setsuna (the woman in Setsuna's flashbacks that tells him to live for himself, though his naming has not yet been discussed in the show beyond her saying his name), but that she is not aware of this fact. I don't think it would not be a stretch to say there is a lot more to their story and to Rui herself, and I really look forward to learning more about her.

I'm really looking forward to the next episode :)

if Omegahorn is airing in July, does that mean that Gavan Infinity is going to end at like episode 25??

It seems so. It's been rumored that Gavan Infinity would be short for some time, but considering that Omegahorn starts July 26th at the time Gavan Infinity normally would, it seem that it's been confirmed.

OMG Reiji’s broken helmet?!! So excited

Yes! His helmet will break in the movie, according to the trailer. Also notice he has a tear on the outer corner of his eye and the movie is called "The Day the Sun Cried". Reiji is heavily associated with the sun and the heavens generally, but it's really highlighted in previews for this movie, not only with the title and this imagery of a tear, but also in the fact that he will be getting a form called "Gavan Infinity Apollo" when Apollo is the God of the sun and light in mythology.

What do you think about Gavan infinity ep 7 and the backstory of Reiji’s backstory and his relationship with his mentor♾️

Episode 7 was interesting, but I do wish we had gotten more direct answers about certain things. They are leaning into mystery elements about who did certain things and why and I get building suspense, but they keep revealing things so late/at weird times. I think they should've clarified the relationships as classmates prior and made it more clear how much WaniPat know about Gavan. I think it would've just helped in some more serious moments with them if it was built up more. I don't really know how to explain it.

I really like Reiji's backstory and him having an even longer relationship with his mentor than we previously though, extending back to his childhood. It makes the incident feel even more impactful knowing that not only was Gato Gavan before, not only did he want Reiji to be Gavan Infinity, but also that the one time Reiji had seen Gavan Destiny, Gato was right there with him. It feels like Gato had way more of an influence and an impact that really helped Reiji define what being Gavan means for him and it explains his anger that continues to constantly burn. It's probable that Death Gavan did play a major part in this incident, as he does deal the Nega Emorgears and one was involved in the incident. Also bc they did show he did cause tragedies prior that did lead to many people dying.

I also think it's important to note that Reiji and Gato seemed to be aiming to fight injustice within the Federation itself, which does add another layer and might be leaning into the idea of shady things within the Federation to be revealed at a later time, much like how the ISA in BoonBoomger had.

I also like Reiji and Daisuke's relationship. They were classmates and they work together on the Gavan Infinity team very well. Agi says in both Off-Duty and in this episode that Daisuke and Reiji are a "gavibe" combo. They respect each other and care for one another, but they also are devoted to their duties. I like that they have their own little handshake and feel comfortable talking about their insecurities, like Daisuke being jealous of Reiji or how they interact in Off-Duty. There's these small moments of recognition too, like Reiji relating the creation of Setsuna to the creation of Agi and in turn Daisuke, Daisuke acknowledging Reiji's efforts, Reiji immediately going to protect Daisuke when Death Gavan is coming down to Earth, or Reiji remembering what Daisuke wrote his thesis about. I didn't really know what to expect from their relationship going in, but I really like it so far.

I know it’s early for Gavan infinity but what do you think about Reiji Doki? I really like him♾️

I am quite fond of Reiji. I think he has a lot of qualities that I find interesting in a character and a lot of potential to develop. I really like how he interacts with other people and provides comfort while also being realistic. I like how he treats the emorgears kindly and how he gets along with his support. We haven't seen too much anger from him, but as it's his emorgear I do hope they'll give him interesting stories where it is addressed, especially seeing how he reacts upon thinking of or someone mentioning his mentor. Generally, I just think he has a personality I gravitate to, where he is able to be silly and cool, but also be serious when he needs to be, at least so far. He also has a really pretty smile and I like his outfit :)

What do you think about Gavan infinity ep 2? I really enjoyed it

I really liked the second episode. I think the issues I had before weren't as present in this episode and I found the dynamic between Reiji and Setsuna to be interesting. I'm very fond of the face Bushido has and generally I am interested in Setsuna, as he seems to have issues with self-worth but at the same time wants to take pride in the position he holds. I feel Reiji works well with him as he's not too judgemental on a personal level but he also treats Setsuna as an equal. I think a person who is also bestowed the title of Gavan acknowledging him and also fighting/living for himself, something that Setsuna has been told to do in his past, allows him to see things from a new perspective and just makes things click into place in a way that he may not have been able to get to on his own. The determination Reiji has is inspiring for him not only bc he's a fellow officer but bc he holds the Gavan position as well and chooses to fight for people with the power it gives him. It's about choice and doing things bc it's what you want to do and believe in, something Setsuna is still learning to do after having been made to follow orders. It all makes Setsuna see Reiji as more of an equal, which I feel is very important for someone who is introduced the way he is.

I don't really have too much to say beyond that, but I did enjoy the fights and I think it's really interesting that the ship needs approval from multiple people to change. I think that can lead to interesting conflicts in the future that could be interesting looks into the internal system of the federation. It takes me about 7 episodes max usually for me to get really immersed into a show like this but I am enjoying it so far.

What do you think about gavan infinity?

I quite like the premise so far and I'm enjoying the characters, especially Reiji. I'm looking forward to seeing more of his dynamics, especially with Daisuke and Setsuna. I've always quite liked the suits and found the ombre on them to be pretty. Seeing Infinity in action was really nice and I think the fight choreo for Infinity and Reiji is very nice so far. I also think they did a pretty good job at explaining the multiverse in a simple way that kids can understand.

The issues I'm seeing are with some of the inconsistencies in some scenes. When Reiji is fighting the cuts are very noticeable, mainly bc his hair goes back and forth between being styled and being messy, so I was taken out of it for a moment there but it's not too bad. The finisher was also too dark, as in it's visually harder to see than other scenes within the episode and it really threw me off when I was watching live. I thought at first that my laptop battery was dying and my screen had dimmed, but no that's how it is in the show.

Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes and will be tuning in next week.
