People said the same thing about my dad. When he was dying, they really pressured me into visiting him in the hospital. I went and HE wouldn't talk to ME. It was a waste of time and emotions, and I never regretted cutting him out of my life, and he's been gone 4 years now.
Exactly, I hate that there is some societal pressure that just because people are related to you, you have to forgive them. I’m glad you put yourself first!!
