if you’re interested, google translate says ‘stupid’, ‘asshole’, or ‘jerk’ rather than ‘retard’ so i guess it’s how one chooses to translate it

yeah i got that too but then i googled the word and it says it means mentally and/or physically disabled so. i think the word is similar to r*tard in english (as in it meant mentally disabled but ppl started using it negatively so much they changed the technical term)? here's the stuff i found:
