Substation Package contract
MSPCL has announced results for its Kamjong Substation Package contract, where JSP Projects was technically disqualified and two bidders remained. Shyama Power emerged L1 at Rs 72.94 crore, nearly 20 percent below Mohan Energy’s quote.
The 132 kV GIS project covers a new substation and 35 km line linking Hundung to Kamjong on double-circuit towers. Executed on a turnkey EPC basis, it strengthens SASCI-funded grid connectivity in Manipur’s hilly corridor.
The disqualification under Qualification Clause 3.1 narrowed competition but accelerated award timelines. Analysts warn the pricing gap may reflect compressed margins and transport risk for the winning firm. The Substation Package contract thus illustrates the trade-off between cost efficiency and execution exposure in regional power infrastructure, Substation Package, Substation Project, Power Transmission, Electrical Infrastructure, EPC Contract, PowerGrid, Transmission Line.Read the full verified update on EnergylineIndia.com.
