//Ah yes. Gray and Lyon. That's going to be a wonderful christmas :D
" I'm here to say you hello"
"Ah, well hello there Lyon! It’s been such a long time!"
"To the orphanage"
Shirou was carring alot of boxes around. "Ohaio... Make yourself at home... Will be there shortly!" He said and carried the boxes away. ]
Later he did come back and smiled to them. "Sorry, can I help you?"
"James! There's a time and place!"

Complete darkness. Vision was of no use, therefore, other obliging senses were leisurely put into use. Ears perceived indistinct squeaks, accompanying distinguishable rattling. Metal utensils clashing against one another were discerned, in addition to hushed utterances shattering distant silences. A downy mattress of sorts could be felt beneath him; however, it quickly became recognized to not be his own. Far too narrow, albeit astonishingly comfortable. Fleecy fabric was acknowledged against his flesh. Moments afterwards, prompting him to consciously note the presumed bandaged areas; sore muscles, burning lacerations, tender wounds. Thus, the darkness became dispelled, oculars opened before blinking rapidly whilst adjusting the astounding brilliance shining down from overhead. A hospital bed was where the Ice-Mage awoke.
Tremendously vast and substantial waves of exuberance amalgamated with bliss coursed throughout the entirety of his strained being, as his vision cleared to scrutinize a silhouette bearing resemblance to a beloved brother-like figure. Instantaneously, the accustomed rush of adrenaline pumped through his veins; sheer excitement, interspersed with aggravation surfaced for somewhat unbeknownst reasons. More so unvoiced, as opposed to unrecognized. Within moments, oculars widened in incredulity. A disbelief-filled demeanor left utterly dumbfounded for vocalization. His eyes surely weren’t deceiving him, Lyon was indeed perched alongside of him. Attempting to comprehend the unwonted situation, Gray slowly shook his head from side-to-side, shut his eyes once more, and roughly collided a bandaged palm against a grotesque discoloration upon his forehead in indignation.
Suddenly, recollection of the disturbing events, which prompted their arrival here, began flooding back. A horribly wicked storm had been brewing, within distant and foreign territory. Whilst valiantly embarking towards his destination, after the successful completion of a rather excruciatingly strenuous mission, the skies had darkened to foreboding extents; ominous clouds became apparent, animals scampered out of harms way, and perplexing gusts of bracing winds carried countless leaves.Truly a storm bearing magnificence of frightening proportions, nevertheless, Gray found himself in the midst of it. Due to the manifested injuries lessening his composure and overall renowned prowess of respectable stature and endurance, at some fateful point in time, the Ice-Mage had collapsed underneath the pressure of his strained muscles, and became helpless to approaching terrors of the elements. However, his location wasn’t near the closest city; Acanthus was numerous kilometers away. He’d encountered the elder prior to storm brewing. Had Lyon been the individual to find Gray, and bring him here? One could conclude such.
Thus, his gaze deliberately descended in embarrassment, humiliation, and ultimately, defeat. Notwithstanding his apparent injuries, having Lyon of all people lend assistance, is demeaning beyond the comprehension of most. Due to unforthcoming prominence, an adversary lie ambiance pertains to surround the duo. However, within this very instant, an atmosphere significantly different was recognized. Briefly, oculars glimpsed around the colourless room, embellished quite poorly. A doctor passed by with absolute haste; determination bearing his visage, confidence emitting from him. Elated laughter could be heard from nearby rooms, though, sorrowful weeping from other ones.
Eventually, his gaze drifted towards the window, and brought to witness to radiance beyond the glass. Countless celestial beings adorned the night sky with picturesque beauty; distinguishable radiance of the incandescent stars lit up the view in an astoundingly wondrous manner. Becoming enthralled, euphoria momentarily transpired, however, upon the pain in his being suddenly intensifying, rough grunts took their departure, as he viciously rocked his head forth. The Ice-Mage clutched onto the soft sheets below, as his vision momentarily blurred. A dizzy discomposure plagued him, a pale complexion presented itself as his breathing became fainter, and he suddenly darted to the side. Much to his surprise, frigid, muscular arms encompassed him from the side, and gently maneuvered him back into place. A pinkish hue decorated his visage, with an allure belonging to that of a petite though freshly bloomed rose. Gray shrouded himself beneath the thin comforter, as oculars reluctantly began leering into Lyon’s seemingly vast, ones, full of supposed wisdom.
❝Ugh…❞ Embarrassment deepened, as he briefly lowered his head, and allowed a petite sigh of acceptance to escape. A smirk transpired before his head was raised, and eyes once more locked with those belonging to Lyon.❝S-Sorry to bring you here… Guess I overestimated myself, huh? Man—- never anticipated this outcome though. Thought for sure next time I’d be in a place like this, I’d be just stopping by to visit somebody else. Jeez, and letting myself be brought here by you of all people? Didn’t see that coming—- nope, not at all.❞ Yet another sigh, this one of distinct contentment, slowly departed. ❝Kinda nostalgic though, in a really warped sense…❞ He muttered under his breath. Recollection of an otherwise unorthodox childhood began. Oh, how blissful it was on occasion, to be engulfed by colourless mounts of snow. Jubilant leaps alongside of the elder would bring both little Ice-Mage’s into the substantial heaps, and allow them to acquire the accustomed joys of adolescence. Snowmen, snow-angels; the two would mischievously scamper throughout the spacious unknown with sheer happiness. Granted, most of the time, was spent undergoing strenuous, but, beneficial training. Nonetheless, irreplaceable memories were made, ones kept withdrawn, but never forgotten.
Subtly, eyes would observe the unsightly discolorations along his forearm. Repulsing injuries have surely been inflicted, and a massive amount of blood has left him. Thus, resulting in his weak state. Gray’s head instinctively nuzzled against the provided pillow, as he wilfully sought pursuit of comfort. An impulsive chime emitted, as he felt his body weakening even further. His vision continued to blur, however, he managed to scrutinize needles of the nearby counter. Used—- perhaps something had been injected into him? Regardless, his frigid heart seemed to gradually beating with less haste; his complexion was oddly pale, as opposed to it’s typical ivory, and the entirety of his body, was freezing. Not the accustomed feel of ice—- something more distant, an isolated, lifeless feeling.
❝T-Thanks… For bringing me here… I mean—- I would’ve managed just fine on my own, but I guess it’s better this way… And I—- ugh, well, to be honest I was kinda wondering what you were up to, not too long before we actually crossed paths. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got much better things to worry about than how you’re doing, but… Since the Grand Magic Games finished, a lot more people have come to live in Magnolia. Family’s especially. Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers, sisters, and brothers—-so naturally, well I started reminiscing about the good old days. Back then—- me, you, and Ur… we weren’t exactly your typical trio, but we got by, and had our share of good times, right? Guess that’s in the past now. Things sure are different now; each of us doing our own thing…❞
Without further ado, a sizable sigh was made. Despite the unusual complexion, unquestionable bliss seemed visible in Gray’s visage. Perhaps due to the medication in his system, perhaps due to recollection of his past, or perhaps for reasons still unvoiced. Nonetheless, a broad smile adorned the Ice-Mage, as oculars leisurely came to a close, and he instinctively reached out, firmly encompassing the elders wrist. Fingers prodded against Lyon’s flesh, as hushed murmuring trailed off into his slumber. ❝Night, nii-san...❞
