Flavorful and succulent smoked chicken thighs featuring an ideal proportion of spices. Perfect for any outdoor event, including barbecues.
Ingredients: 8 chicken thighs. 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons honey. 2 teaspoons smoked paprika. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/2 teaspoon salt. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: To make a marinade, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, smoked paprika, onion and garlic powders, black pepper, and salt in a bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken thighs and place them in a plastic bag that can be sealed. Refrigerate for a minimum of two hours or overnight after sealing the bag. To add smoking flavor, preheat your smoker to 225F 107C. Then, add wood chips. The chicken thighs should be taken out of the marinade and allowed to come to room temperature. After the thighs are placed on the smoker grates, smoke them for two to three hours, or until they are 165 degrees Fahrenheit 74 degrees Celsius inside. Before serving, allow the smoked chicken thighs to cool for a few minutes.
