2. nightmare where that character is trying to hurt you somehow
As much as she run, Annie didn’t seem to go move.
She had been running for a while now, due to she had ran out of gas what made her DMT totally useless. Eventhough this she wouldn’t go down that easy, she wasn’t going to get caught without a fight. But, even if she had been running for about half an hour, when she looked around herself, anything had changed. The same trees were always there. Yes, it was a big forest she was in but… how was that even possible? it made no sense.
She could hear the sound of the wind being cut behind her: he was coming closer. The blonde couldn’t run faster, she was running out of breath. Suddenly she felt a punch on her back that made her fall on the ground, taking a couple of laps before of staying immobile laying faceup with her arms open and with Levi sitting on her, who was holding her wrists eliminating any possibility for her to escape.
Both remained silent for a few minutes when the only thing that could be heard was Annie’s intense breathing. Then, just when Annie opened her mouth to talk, the guy anticipated to her.
"Do you remember when I told you… I would rip your arms and legs off?"
He said in a soft voice, taking hold of Annie’s wrists with one hand while, with the other, he unsheathed his blade.
"I changed my opinion."
The man put the edge of the blade on her neck.
"I’ll go directly for your head."
Annie closed her eyes, feeling the impotence taking over her body.
People say that, when you’re about to die, you see a sequence of images that relate your life passing in front of your eyes. For some reason, Annie only had one image on her head: her father’s face. And that sentence began to rumble on her mind, as if it was a curse: “Please, Annie, I’m just asking you for this… come back. Come back home safe. Please.”
Suddenly, the blonde saw herself sitting on the bed, drenched in sweat and hardly breathing. She looked around, confused, recognising her room and then the Military Police’s uniform.
It had been just a nightmare… but it felt so real.
