How did you get into tron?? I’m dying to know 👀

Ooh this is a long one!!

I grew up watching 1982 with my brother. In fact, on long trips at night, we'd shift into "Tron mode", aka making our eyes see all the lights blurry so it kinda blended together.

Anyway, when Legacy came out I was SUPER excited and I'm fairly sure I watched it in theaters, but I don't remember well. I was little. I do remember Legacy being our first Blu-ray DVD! We'd gotten this fancy pancy new player cause the combo DVD/VHS one had broken. The old box tv had also broken, so we were using one my uncle had given us, but it only lasted a week or so and the top strip had a permanent static on it. We got a new TV and watched Tron just fine- I remember everyone in my family (including my grandparents, I don't know why they were there) being really impressed by the Blu-ray Disney intro.

Fast forward to quarantine, my dad suggested that I play 2.0 because he'd played it and loved it. Turns out, I loved it too! And that made me think to look here on Tumblr to see if anyone else was into Tron. I wasn't entirely sure what I'd find but lo and behold I found friends and I've been in Tronblr ever since. Being here made me get into all the "extended universe" stuff, and I got some books and posters and things.

I don't really remember a time not being into Tron, but I definitely wasn't into it this heavily before last March. All the art and fanfics and memes sucked me in! I'm really glad I found so many people that share my love for this weird computer franchise, I don't know what I would have done without you.
