BAFTA L.A.'s annual awards event will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, Nov. 9.

  Benedict Cumberbatch will be honored at the 2013 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The 37-year-old British actor, whose credits include BBC'sSherlock, Star Trek Into Darkness and War Horse, will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

The award pays tribute to a British artist whose outstanding performances in a year have demonstrated the high quality of their craftsmanship. Previous recipients include Daniel Craig, Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Blunt, Michael Sheen and Rachel Weisz.

Cumberbatch has several films set for release. He'll play Julian Assange in the upcoming WikiLeaks story The Fifth Estate and he'll also appear in Steve McQueen's buzzy awards film 12 Years a Slave. He also voices the dragon Smaug in the final two Hobbit films.

And yet the British have denied him a BAFTA how many times?!!!

You people are not cute. Your very nature disgusts me. Why can't you be normal like everybody else? You show no flaws, and are oh so cliche. You seem to be perfectly perfect on the outside but, ironically, people like y'all are the most two-faced a person can get. And get out of my fucking face, Jesus. It's sad that I'm forced to deal with you on a daily basis because you people literally REPEL me. Being professional, inquisitive, and intelligent are things that I strive to be, but y'all just suck-up so badly. And it's so obvious that you try so hard. Grow a personality for Christ's sake; maybe it will get more people to like you and less people to think that you're totally fucking annoying.
