"What A Wonderful Stage!"
Tenchou no Confianza (Confidence Zenith) by Hina and Amane!!!
Amane-sama 😳❤️
Great PriMagi episode. To be honest, part of me still can't believe they're showing a girlprince who presents masculine 100% of the time without doing the "wait, she's actually a GIRL!?" thing even once. I'm not saying it's always bad to show masculine girls being mistaken for boys (after all, it's common irl!), but it's nice to see one whose gender isn't made a fuss of, who's allowed to just Be.
Her stage aesthetics, of course, are an homage to the Takarazuka Revue, which after all is the original inspiration for the "girl prince" trope in anime and manga. The episode was also chock-full of yuri tropes, not just the traditional all-girls' Catholic school setting, but especially the way the student council president just appointed Amane to be her successor instead of having a vote, which is reminiscent of Maria-sama ga Miteru.
The last thing I have to add could be a coincidence, because flower theming is common in yuri, in Takarazuka, and in classic shoujo in general, and because the work I'm thinking of is rather obscure (unlike Marimite). But one of my favorite shoujo yuri classics is an old one from the 1990's from Mihona Fuji, the creator of the series Gals! (adapted into anime as Super Gals!), which is called Himitsu no Hanazono, which translates to... The Secret Garden. It involves theatre, roses, a girl prince, and wings, but CW for child abuse, incest, and homophobia (none of which are romanticized).
I said that was the last thing, but then I thought of something else. Midoriko's surname actually means a public flower garden. So that potentially gives Amane's performance another layer of meaning for the two of them.

something very interesting about the lyrics in the second half of the song that give it a certain kind of clarity
