Portside Flea Market
who: @summersauveterre
Things ebb and flow in this new normal she's still settling into angry one minute, composed the next - surefooted one day, stumbling around another; in less than a week, she'll be out again, howling at the moon for half a day - or rather, all of a night, and waking up somewhere - maybe Arte will show up again - maybe they won't. Maybe she doesn't get far enough out and kills somebody else. Maybe she doesn't turn back. Maybe Maybe Maybe. She just... she's trying to not think about it.
And so she's back at the flea-market (a new favorite place for no real reason) on a weekend , when it gets a little nicer, a little more small-town despite the larger nature of Port Leiry. She has a box in a bag with the precious cargo for later, and her pocket's a little lighter, but the distraction's working; she hasn't thought about bones breaking or new teeth pushing old ones out of the way for the entire hour or she's been here.
She passes by one stall, vaguely recognizes the name on its little placard board, but she's not really in the market for honeys and dried sage - but she does stop next door at a little stall that looks like it's from the same group of people, looking at other little bits and bobs of local craft, set up in the chilly but not horribly cold weekend weather - chilly enough for her nose and cheeks to redden but not enough for shivering; she runs hot these days anyways.
Autumn picks up a little hand-bound diary, with what looks like hand-made paper and leather; she'd just gotten a new moleskin from Aria, so she doesn't really need it, but something in it is calling her onto it, making her linger as she runs fingers over the maker's mark stamped into the corner it's cover. When she looks up, there isn't anybody tending the stall, and the sign points her back to the place with the honey and the herbs, so there she goes.
