I’m almost finished with this book. I’m enjoying it but it does deal with a lot of heavy issues that grief and anxiety. Still a great read tho. 5 pages into #summerbirdblue by @akemidawnbowman and I'm in tears. This book is so painful and beautiful with well crafted prose that hits you right in the gut. And I love that I can actually imagine all the places mentioned because I live in Hawaii! Akemi nailed the pidgen, which isn't easy to do, while remaining respectful to the Hawaiian culture.
