Character design
Character 3 Inspiration
For my 3rd character I am thinking of creating a a character that lives in a post-apocalypse wasteland this is the only world the character has ever known and was born into a cult loosing their mother in childbirth and farther due to exhaustion (Overworked) as a child they were abused and worked as a slave. Luckily the character was able to survive and soon was able to escape due to all the events in their live the character decides to live alone afraid of being apart of a abusive society and due to the harsh nature of the world around them they believe all society is an abusive though they live in a little houses ruins that faces away from a small society not too far away but enough to avoid contact.
Like the others there is one thing I want this character to show I do want to make it clear this character is a scavenger so for inspiration a looked into dystopian, wasteland and western character to draw inspiration from of this character a feature I am planning to show is some sort of permanent injury, don’t know if it will only be one, that shows what the characters been through and justifies the characters views on remaining society.
Nicolas Rix
I really liked his character design and could see myself creating something similar for my short film. Again I really like the textures used and the background designs fit so well to create a world of its own.

Manu Montoya
I wanted to find some more illustrators that used a lot of textures and simple shapes. I really like the fish that she made as they are simple but the textures add a lot to them. She also incorporates different patterns onto things making them more unique.
Kew Gardens Project
I really like the character design for this project and the colours that contrast to make different elements pop out. The added line work makes the environment and the characters more realistic and helps to guide the eye.

Doug John Miller
I found this artist on Instagram that I would really like to try and recreate this style, its simple but still detailed and kind of reminds me of Where’s Wally books which I find endearing. He is an illustrator based in London. I really like the little details he adds and the lighting of his drawings to create atmosphere.
I really want to use this style as inspiration for my short film, it is very detailed and will be time consuming but I think it will make the environment feel like its own universe.
Ana Duna
This illustrator really inspired me to create my TV series in this style. Moving on from third year I would really like to create work similar to this but in an animated form. I love the textures and child like characters she has created.

Inspiration for the Sea Short Film
With this short film I think I could be really creative with the character designs on how they can breath under water and the creatures they come across.
