Liam with children! Liam posted a pic of his hand over (presumably) Bear's tiny paw at a piano captioned "twinkle twinkle hand in hand," and the Summerchime folks released a lot of pictures of Liam with a girl named Suki, a beneficiary of their charity (Children with Cancer UK.) Seems they had intended to have her appear at the event on the 16th but since it was cancelled Liam instead did a photoshoot with them to draw attention. So, some pics of Liam and her together making faces for the camera, cute, and one fan pic with a CWC intern. Today Liam is still in Ibiza; he posted a tagged sunset pic.

Harry was papped in London in running clothes (which it's Harry so that actually means a TPWK hoodie with the strings tied in a neat lil bow) and ellesse socks oops no one ellesse sock and one like champion or something sock lol. Later he switched to evening attire (nice shirt, rings, loafers etc) to go out privately but was captured for a couple fan pics and a video ("uh hi I'm with your sister okay bye" *zips out of frame*)

Niall posted from the golf course and announced that he was confirmed for another Pro Am (BMW PGA Sept 18-22) which I personally don't care too much about but like good for him ya know? But wow! Some people are pissed! They're stressed about him playing golf instead of promoting his soon to drop new single, though to be fair most people are like?? He can do both?? He knows what he's doing??? Anyway then he posted a selfie of himself looking super skeptical over his shades at the camera labeled with the new song title soooo take that haters. And he responded to the joking suggestion of a DNA test sternly- now that's just TOO FAR he said (basically). Told ya.

Today is eighteen months hey wait... no... wtf... four years since the hiatus announcement heeeeyy that doesn't seem right?? *confused head scratching and chalkboard scribbling*

Children with Cancer UK is thrilled to announce the launch of SummerChime, a spectacular evening of music representing the celebratory moment every child with cancer longs to experience – the chiming of their end of treatment bell.

This intimate event, held in the beautiful walled gardens of London’s Chiswick House, will feature an exclusive headline performance from Global superstar Liam Payne, with support from international chart-toppers All Saints and critically-acclaimed X Factor winner, Louisa.

Get your tickets on Friday for what promises to be one of the biggest family parties of the summer, as the UK’s most exciting stars share the stage for a fantastic night of music.

Liam Payne’s SummerChime concert cancelled over severe weather warnings

Liam Payne’s SummerChime concert has been cancelled due to severe weather warnings. 

After the Met Office warned we could see a month’s worth of rain during the day, the Strip That Down singer confirmed they had decided to cancel the charity gig to be safe.

 ‘Hi guys, a little bit of bad news but unfortunately tonight’s Summer Chime fest has been cancelled due to a weather warning,’ he explained in a video to his 32.7million Twitter followers. 

‘I’m so sorry to everyone who was excited to see the show. Hopefully I get to see you all again someday.’ 

Alongside the clip, the 25-year-old added: ‘So sorry to announce that the #SummerChime event for @CwC_UK tonight is cancelled due to weather. 

‘Hope to see you all very soon x.’

Right on cue, fans flooded his post with messages of support, reminding him that the cancellation isn’t his fault. 

‘Such a shame but the sensible decision to make given the weather forecast,’ one wrote. ‘I’m sure you were looking forward to it. Hopefully see you on stage soon x.’ 

‘It’s not your fault, don’t worry, just the weather being a bish once again but safety comes first, still so sorry for everyone who was going,’ another commented. 

While a Twitter user said: ‘We were so looking forward to see u on stage again but we fully understand it wasn’t your fault. Please don’t apologise we love u so much.’

And a fan added: ‘Don’t be sorry we are proud of your hard work and weather is something we can’t control.’ 

Liam was due to be taking to the stage at Chiswick House, alongside fellow X-Factor alum Louisa Johnson, and All Saints. 

The intimate SummerChime gig, for just 3,000 people, was to raise awareness for charity Children with Cancer UK. 

A spokesperson later confirmed the cancellation, sharing a statement with Metro.co.uk.

‘We are sorry to inform you that Children with Cancer UK has made the difficult decision to cancel SummerChime which was set to take place at Chiswick House, in London, on Friday 16 August,’ it read.  

‘This decision was not taken lightly and was made following forecasts of heavy rain and gusts of wind, which can be dangerous at outdoor events. 

‘Following consultation with the event management team, the difficult decision was made to cancel the event in order to ensure the safety of attendees, artists and staff. 

‘Ticket refunds are a priority and we will work as quickly as possible to issue refunds. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. 

‘We would like to thank you for your support of SummerChime and Children with Cancer UK.’

Louis, usually so meticulous these days about making sure no background is visible in his selfies, posted one today to his ig page in which he's peeping out of a big red hood at the camera with a pale pink poster visible behind him. The art was quickly tracked down by the fandom: it's part of a limited edition print series by Japanese artist Aki Kuroda and you too can own one for a mere €one million! A bargain I'm sure. The Madrid festival (only a month away now!) announced a contest for meet and greet time with the artists, including Louis, but it's only open to residents of Spain. Good luck Spanish fans! (Suck it, everyone else!) Music focused coverage of Louis' TCA win and upcoming single (and now selfie) continues to be heavy, including LTHQ taking to twitter to add to the fuss. A brief new-to-us TOU promo interview was published by The List, mostly the usual, but there's some content about songwriting style. He talks about the ways in which he's inspired by Liam Gallagher's writing and says, "I don’t like being clever for the sake of being clever. Sometimes it’s cool to read between the lines. My lyrical style, naturally, is to just be matter of fact, honest and sometimes blunt." 1883 said Louis doodled an outline of his hand while there but they didn't keep it: think it through next time, you definitely could have sold posters of that too! (Louis: merch concept idea? Would buy.)

Niall is everywhere and in his element at his tournament, doing interviews and press conferences, playing his round through rain and shine, doing meet and greets, all in close quarters with the lucky fans on site and while looking handsome and cheerful, even while angrily pretending to throw a ball. We hear he told a wasp to fuck off but I'll assume that was also light hearted. All good enough for a solid day of Niall excitement but there's more, there's still PAUL who we never get to see! Looks like he'll be there with Niall all week, delightful.

Liam posted pictures taken at London vintage sign museum and shop God's Own Junkyard, very cool aesthetic, captioned "B is for...." There's a big letter B in the pic so it doesn't have to be too deep if you don't want it to be but you can read it as you choose. Similarly, you're free to make what you will of the results of the VIP ticket giveaway for Liam's show this Fri in London. Looks like all the same people who always win tickets, and who seem to magically always know where to find the boys, have won; but I'm sure it's all just a coincidence.

Liam's show tonight has, sadly, been cancelled. The event organizers say they had to cancel the outdoor event due to rain; Liam posted a little video message about the cancellation. He also liked a tweet pointing out that despite the cancellation a lot of money was raised by the VIP ticket contest probably and boy they are not wrong, how many entries do those same few people have to buy to every time to ensure that they win every. single. one. of these contests? Well, the charities involved win anyway.

John Urbano continues to post bts pics from the Gotta Be You video shoot of the boys looking pretty in the woods- today there's a perfect vintage Zayn pic of him looking sceptical as hell.

Niall is still out there doing the golf, apparently the Modest folks are doing well, so Niall says.

And makeawish kid Harrysson, who you may remember eating fish sticks with Louis at the X Factor last fall, has been extremely ill and his mother has been asking for help contacting Louis and begging him to contact her sick boy again for a while now. Today Louis reached out through makeawish, truly living the "make someone happy today" ethos; the mom is over the moon and I can only assume Harrysson, who loves Louis so so much, is too.

Today is Fizzy's birthday. I hope some of the good that Louis and his family put into the world comes back to them today and comforts them.

Niall went over to Pride Park for the Derby championship match and was quite the man of the hour, being interviewed at length ('Niall Horan, Derby fan') signing a mural at the park of his own face ("since I was young," he wrote) and taking pics in the stands with other behind the scenes people. In the interview he says he will have new music.... in October? Et tu Niall, what happened to Sept? All men do is lie, truly. And in sad news for the weirdly large demographic of people-who-are-super-invested-in-getting-Niall-and-Tom-Holland-in-the-same-place, Tom has withdrawn his participation in the upcoming Omega European Masters Pro Am (imagine joke about him unexpectedly presenting as something else).

Liam posted a shirtless vacation selfie, Summerchime posted a couple more pics of him with Suki and her family, and Ant Middleton posted a ridiculous clickbait tease for their upcoming show together ("you'll be shocked [in a good way!]") Liam at least is "shooketh" but not by his upcoming TV special; he responded saying so to fan labeling a video of Jimin from BTS flipping mics "Liam Payne is shaking." She was shooketh too by the response and immediately took it back, "I'm dead you're still the king of flipping mics don't listen to me!"

The contest winners were announced for the Madrid meet and greets; they are not known names and have not met any of the boys before. Bravo to the the festival for running a fair contest and to Louis, who told us he would find a way to do meet and greets that didn't favor those with lots of money over other fans, and then did.

And in the general announcements category, the Harry Rolling Stone may be on the shelves before Sept 3, at least according to one Barnes and Noble that said they'll just put them out when they get them which might be next week, and there will be a strike effecting some transit and airline activity in Madrid over the weekend of the festival so lucky travelers should be prepared to make alternate arrangements. Consider planning ahead to find ways to get around without supporting strikebreakering!
