Love is...
I think of love like a plunge in a cold water from a cliff. Like the water, we size up the person if they’re in our league and when they are, we prepare to jump-excited of going into the water, of getting into someone else’s life. As our toes kiss the upper layers slowly swallowing us to its uncertain depth, we feel ourselves suffocated then we panic and stretch our arms to get out of the water, to breath- to break free from the mess we put ourselves in. Then when we surface, we breath a relieved one, then put a smiling face again. Tired and weary we go back to the shore, preparing for yet another plunge.
We are going in circles. To some it’s never ending while others lost the capacity to swim and jump and some, sadly, drowned trying. For others there will come a savior who will make them stay afloat, and then they’re somehow complete.
