For just $25.00 Two pink sunflowers showing their beauty using watercolor and wax resist ( BATIK) on transparent rice paper. Batik is generally thought of as a classic wax resist Indonesian textile. With my work, I replace the traditional cloth with rice paper and the dyes with watercolors. I layer the wax and the color washes creating a delicate transparent look with rich textural interest. The original is in a private collection. 8x10, 11x14. Comes with an acid free double white mat enclosed in a clear plastic sleeve. Sunflowers bring smiles to the world.
