If they mean in the last Stendan ep, I always thought it was partly because Brendan was injured from the shooting so the hug hurt.
Yes I guess that too! Both the emotional and physical pain was too much. He can hardly even look at Ste with all the guilt, sadness and remorse :’(

Horrific ... but we all make mistakes ... still horrific though... ;)
Some of those manips scarred me for life. I had to read tons of fics to get those images out from my head.
