July round - writers & prompts!

Hi everyone!

Mimi and I are excited to announce that we have the July roster of writers and prompts sorted out. It’s listed below - please note that three of the people who were allocated a spot back in June haven’t confirmed their place, so if you are one of the three in question (spots 5, 6, and 7), you must contact one of us to confirm by 5 pm EST tomorrow, July 2, or we will reallocate your spots to people currently on the waiting list.

@ruby-loves-supernatural - Dean/Sam and a librarian

natassie - One of those storm chasers who are following omens inadvertently

musicjunkie1024 - stripper at a strip joint who one of the boys talks to for hours; makes her feel like a person rather than an object

doctor-director-professor - concierge at a fancy hotel whom the boys have to question

Yup! - these are the people who have spots pre-allocated because of the runover last month: geeklibrarian, beauty-and-the-stitch, imaginingwiththewinchesters, freckled-and-reckless, letmegodean, supernaturalblackhole1, and @sunflowers-castiel. 

If you are one of these people, can you please write me ASAP to confirm that you still want your spot? Thanks guys!

I should also say that because we’ve revised the system a bit for the July round, we won’t be guaranteeing any spots for any subsequent months after this one.

Looking ahead ...

I’ve been talking to Mimi and we’ve decided to go ahead and optimistically plan to run another round of the Girl In Every Port Project next month (July). We will go ahead and start accepting new prompts for the July round now, so if you have one in mind send it to either me or Mimi. 

Also, those people who wrote to request a prompt this month but were too late to get one will have first dibs next month: geeklibrarian, beauty-and-the-stitch, @imaginingwiththewinchesters, @freckledandreckless, @letmegodean, supernaturalblackhole1, and @sunflowers-castiel. In other words, you seven are guaranteed spots, if you want them; you can either wait and have first go at the July prompt list when it’s posted, or come up with your own prompt and submit it with a note that you want to write it yourself.
