Like the Moon, he was imperfect

But he lit up the sky and was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.                 His silence calmed me, and when he his behind the clouds in shyness, I wondered at the beautiful imperfections hidden in his mysterious darkness, and waited patiently for him to return. 

He hides from the sun, its superior yellow light showing so much more of itself.   But the sun is too bright for me.                                                                              I see its over-confident yellow glow as arrogant and blinding and naive.             It shows too much, gives too much.                                                                        There are no wonders, or curiosities, or questions or unknowns in the light of the sun.                                                                                                                  It takes love for granted.                                                                           Everything is too obvious, the flooded yellow scenery floods my senses and leaves no room for imagination.

Every day, I wait for my moon to return so I can bask in his pale white glow and ask so many questions and I am left to discover through mine own efforts to find out what hidden beauty sits hidden before my very eyes.
