When I finally feel my pillow under my head, the coolness felt blissful, like a soft summer night breeze. Soft, filled with feathers pushing together and making a bowl in the form of my head. The silence is what makes it even more peaceful. It hasn't been a long time since my parents had died. It's rather odd and depressing but for now the silence is comforting, accompanying even. Not lonely at all. It became my friend wherever went. But this emptiness will pay off soon. It happens every time I try to numb the pain. It comes up and hits me worse than ever. I don't go down memory lane because to be quite honest, I remember absolutely nothing about my past. Some people say that it's for the better. But I can't shake off the feeling that there is something strange about my past. It's hidden and that is reason enough to be concerned about. All I do is complete to take my revenge of those that killed my mother in front of me, the rest doesn't matter. I still remember it, though. It was rainy and we were looking for the cat who hadn't returned as he usually does at the same time every day. We looked everywhere. The garden, the malls, in the park, the forest. We asked our neighbors and even approached strangers and described the slightest detail of our white and black cat with gray eyes and a red bow tie with a cat bell around his neck. Even Robyn's Fiancée, Dan came to help. 16 years old. I was with mom. However she promised dad not to go to the dark and empty places, she didn't listen. She never listens, she's a stubborn. Just like me, as dad always reminds me to it. It was dark in the alley. No it wasn't the silence that made me fear this place, not even the faint light. It was something else, I could feel it. Hungry, alone and hidden in the darkness. It was what this place is beholding that makes it so terrifying. Then, all of a sudden, we heard him. "Meow." and then again but with fear. We heard him no longer. What happened? Thousands of thoughts and images ran through my head. It was deeper down the alley. My mom looked at me, she tried to smile but from the look in her eyes I could feel she was anxious. "Stay here and make yourself invisible, understood?" I opened my mouth for a protest but she silenced me and pushed me to a safer direction. One look, one glance at her was all I had that night before I realized it was my last one. I saw how she pulled a knife. Golden blade, curved, sharp. She walked further through the small alley, swallowed by the darkness...
