Some days I feel almost ridiculous for being so much more comfortable with Sunny than I am with Sunniva, as they’re almost identical names.

Yet there’s a world of difference between them for me personally, and now my ‘old’ name is just something weird and foreign that I have to use on official papers and postage addresses. But I’m kinda afraid and reluctant to ask people in real life to use Sunny instead because they might just brush it off as a nickname and use my birth name anyways, especially since Sunny isn’t even really a name here in Norway.
