My name is Sunny, and I'm a 30-something-year-old from Norway. My pronouns are they/them/theirs.
I mainly post fandom stuff and shitposts, but I also post about other things important to me, such as social justice, queerness, and disability. My personal tag is #Sunny Life, if you want to filter out all my yelling.
My blog runs on a queue, so most of my non-original posts are scheduled, aka I'm not necessarily here just bc there's posts coming out of my queue.
If we're mutuals I'd really appreciate it if you'd tag spiders and bugs/insects for me, thank you!
I'm currently playing through Dragon Age: Veilguard. My personal tag is #Sunny Plays DATV, and all spoilers will be tagged with #Veilguard Spoilers. You can also find my Rook's tag here if you're interested.
Other evergreen interests include Baldur's Gate 3, Bioware games (ME, DA), Bethesda games (TES, Fallout), Valve games (HL, Portal, TF2), Disco Elysium, Guild Wars 2, "cozy" games like farming sims, and a variety of other video games, TV-shows and movies.
I try to tag spoilers, NSFW, and the most common TWs/CWs I can think of, but if you need something "unusual" tagged don't be afraid to let me know! There will however be untagged queer slurs and terminology, just so you're warned.
My asks and DMs are always open! Especially for questions about my OCs, but honestly any friendly interactions or questions are welcome!
I do my best to answer any asks, but brain fog and poor memory means it might take a while, so please don't feel bad if I don't answer right away; you didn't do anything wrong, my brain is just loading very slowly lmao.
If you want to contact me for whatever reason about something more urgent, sending me a DM is always the safest bet.

My villain origin story is living in a family where everyone else seems willing to ruin perfectly good food in an attempt to save 50 kcal on a dish we eat 5 times a year
For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."
Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.
Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.
Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.
The best part is the local city council's reaction.
And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.
After the incident, another video went viral showing what appeared to be that man getting a beating. The Maui Police Department said they had no record of any reports of disorderly conduct or assault related to the monk seal incident.
I want to cross stitch an advent calendar for my nibling, and figured if I start now it'll actually be done by the time she understands the concept of an advent calendar (lmao). BUT I'm having a hard time choosing one
i see your "i dislike characters who talk like theyve been in therapy its more fun when they dont know whats going on" but i raise you "theyve been in therapy for a decade and theyve read all the scholarly articles on the topic they know exactly whats wrong with them and yet they cant logic and reason and rationalise their way out of their mental illness and its driving them insane because they shouldve gotten better years ago and they feel like theyre on square one"

Gonna go on Gastronauts as a contestant and knock Brennan tf out twice, first by serving him my mac n cheese, then by dropping it on his head like a cartoon anvil
Mac n cheese so good you don't even want to forgive your father, you can just hit him over the head with it, killing him instantly
Mac n' Cheese
Serves 6-8 people (or 1 hungover college student)
Metric:
300 g macaroni or other small shape pasta, uncooked
1 tbsp + 75 g butter
50 g all-purpose white wheat flour
600 ml milk
200 ml light cream (10-18% fat)
½ tsp sodium citrate (see notes at the bottom)
¾ tsp table salt
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika powder
1 tsp mustard powder or 2 tsp prepared mustard
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp turmeric powder (optional, only used as coloring)
⅛ tsp nutmeg or mace
⅛ tsp chile powder (dried chili peppers, not the US spice blend)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½-1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
15 g Parmesan or other hard aged cheese
200 g flavorful firm cheese (cheddar, gruyère, edam etc)
100 g mild firm cheese (mozzarella, gouda, Jarlsberg etc)
Breadcrumbs or more grated cheese
Paprika powder
US imperial:
12 oz macaroni or other small shape pasta, uncooked
1 tbsp + 5 tbsp butter
⅓ cup all-purpose white wheat flour
2½ cups milk
1 cup half-n-half (10-18% fat)
½ tsp sodium citrate (see notes at the bottom)
¾ tsp table salt
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika powder
1 tsp mustard powder or 2 tsp prepared mustard
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp turmeric powder (optional, only used as coloring)
⅛ tsp nutmeg or mace
⅛ tsp chile powder (dried chili peppers, not the US spice blend)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½-1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
½ oz / 2 tbsp Parmesan or other hard aged cheese
8 oz / 2 cups flavorful firm cheese (cheddar, gruyère, edam etc)
4 oz / 1 cup mild firm cheese (mozzarella, gouda, Jarlsberg etc)
Breadcrumbs or more grated cheese
Paprika powder
Buy blocks of cheese and grate them yourself – pre-shredded cheese is coated in a layer of starch to prevent clumping, and it can make the sauce grainy. It's preferable to use a mix of cheeses for a more complex flavor (like an even mix of gruyère and cheddar, for example).
Boil the pasta in salted water, but reduce the cooking time by 1-2 minutes. Drain the pasta, stir in 1 tbsp of butter, and set it aside.
Melt butter in a medium to large cooking pot, and whisk in the flour into a roux. Gradually whisk the milk and cream into the roux, until you get an even sauce without any lumps. Add the sodium citrate, seasonings, and Worcestershire sauce, and let the sauce cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce noticeably thickens. Keep stirring the sauce while it cooks to prevent it from burning.
Remove the sauce from the heat, and stir in Parmesan and flavorful cheese until it melts into a silky sauce. It might take a few minutes, but resist the temptation to put it back on the heat – high temperatures can make the cheese split into a greasy mess.
Add lemon juice/vinegar, and adjust acidity and seasoning to taste. Fold in the cooked pasta until everything is evenly coated in the sauce.
Lightly grease an oven safe dish that holds at least 2 liters/quarts. Spread half the mac n cheese in the dish, sprinkle mild cheese over it, and then add the remaining mac n cheese. Top the final layer with breadcrumbs of your choice and/or more grated cheese. I like to sprinkle some paprika powder over the breadcrumbs/cheese for some extra color.
Bake the dish at 200°C/400°F convection + grill for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts and the top becomes golden brown. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes before serving (or tuck in right away and let your mouth burn in cheesy bliss, I'm not the boss of you :P)
Notes:
Sodium citrate is optional, but helps keep the sauce extra smooth and gooey. You can substitute it with a few processed cheese slices (like Kraft or Velveeta) – they already contain enough of the stuff to do a similar job.
I recommend you adjust the seasoning to taste, especially the salt and chile powder. The seasonings are meant to boost the cheese, not necessarily be noticeable as their own flavor, but that's just personal preference.
The sauce isn't supposed to be sour, but the acidity from lemon juice or vinegar helps cut through the heaviness of all that dairy and fat, giving it a more balanced flavor.
This is not meant to be a weeknight mac n cheese, but something really decadent that I make for special occasions. The cheese flavor should knock your socks off, and I really don't recommend skimping out on the main star of this show. I actually buy cheese on sale and age it in my own fridge for months and months on end, but I'm Not Normal about m&c at all lmao
We just keep the mac n cheese "plain" to really bask in its cheesiness, but you can add vegetables or cooked meat or whatever else you fancy. Bacon grease is an excellent replacement for both the butter in the roux, and to add to the breadcrumbs on top.

In The Departed (2006), Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg play two different characters— a subtle nod to them being two different actors, despite my wife being unable to tell them apart on the first viewing of the movie.
Alright, now that I've finished watching a playthrough of SH2R I can very confidently say this remake was 10000% worth it just for the update to James alone. The original has always been an amazing game, but I was never able to truly connect with James as a character because of how wooden he came across (the limited facial animations didn't help either lmao).
But remake James? Between the amazing performance by Luke Roberts and stellar animation work by Bloober, remake James hit me over the head with an iron pipe and then curb stomped me for good measure. The bone tired indifference, the grief, the desperation, the rage, my god it's all so good. When Maria reaches out to him through her prison bars and touches his face, you can practically feel the grief-laden longing somewhere deep in your own soul.
He's still the character he always was, he still did what he did and fundamentally nothing has changed in that regard. But my god, presentation is everything.
