You ran further in the deep into the woods,not caring about the twigs and tall branches smacking your face and scratching your skin. The only thing on your mind was escaping him. You had to. You needed too, there was no turning back! Are you insane??!?
You hid behind a huge tree trying to catch your breath while slowly peeking out from behind the tree to only see Sunoo standing only a few feet away from you. Gasping you turned around, pressing yourself against the tree hoping, begging, praying that he wouldn’t find you.
“Y/N?!? Where are you my love? Please! I need to know if you are okay!” He cried desperately.
You knew better than to expose your hiding spot. No matter how scared he sounded it wasn’t him.
“It’s a trick… don’t give in that’s what he wants.” You told yourself as you closed your eyes. A few tears escaped down your face.
He chuckled. Who knew a chuckle would be so loud in a quiet wooded area?
“Oh my Y/n, that didn’t convince you to run to me one bit? Not even to peek your head out just a tiny bit? To see if I was okay?.” He said, knowing very well he wouldn’t get a response.
“Ahh too bad this dumb tree is keeping you hidden from me.” He giggled which made you open your eyes wide in shock and your heart beating faster.
No way. There’s no way he could have known without even physically looking-
“How would I know where you are hidden my dear Y/N?” He said as he stepped closer to the tree you were hidden at. Leaves crunching beneath him at each step.
“Ohh that’s right….with your heart beating so fast I knew exactly where you were right away silly!” He chuckled some more. He was now in front of the tree. He started to hum an unfamiliar tune.
You started to silently cry knowing this was the end for you. You thought to yourself. Your mind racing, saying goodbye to your loved ones in your head as you prepare for what’s next. There’s no way you’re gonna survive not even a sprinkle of hope of possibly a squirrel running by catching Sunoo’s attention.You should have just kept on running if only-
His voice interrupted your thinking
“I feel bad Y/N. I really do knowing this is the end for you. I know you’re a very smart girl and hiding behind this tree was a very dumb decision…I know you regret very deeply but it’s okay. How about this….since I know your dying to live just for a little bit longer, how about we play a game??” He questioned as he walked back and forth in front of the tree.
No answer.
“We shall play a game of hide and seek…that’ll be very fun for both of us don’t you think darling?” He questioned knowing you still won’t respond. He stopped pacing back and forth in front of the tree and stood there.
“You know it’s very impolite to not reply back after someone questions you. Even after I already gave up your hiding spot? He questioned further now slowly approaching the tree. He was getting slightly annoyed but at the same time impressed with you keeping silent during this whole chaos..not even a whimper.
“Still not talking my princess? I’m being nice trying to give you time to spare but I guess I’ll just end it now-” He growled as he jumps behind the tree from where you were hiding expecting you to scream.
Sadly there was no one behind the tree. Just the tree bark looking at him and him lookin right back at the bark. A blank face is what Sunoo had before laughing.
You played him. You literally played him. While he was being generous about offering you a game to play, you somehow manage to run off.
“Ohh what a smart girl you tricked me! I have to give you points for that… silly me I should have known. Although I didn’t know we were starting hide and seek now! If you wanted a head start you could have told me. Anything for you love.” Sunoo laughed some more before covering his eyes beginning to count down.
“Since you got a head start without telling me, I guess it’s fair if I only started count down from ten. Okay baby? I’ll start now!” He started to count down.
“Ten.…”
“Nine….”
“Eight....”
You thank the stars you were able to quietly hide behind another tree that was three trees down from your original spot. Now you had to survive there’s no backing out. You left your spot and started to run. The sun was still setting so you could still see, but there wasn’t enough time before it became dark.
“Seven....”
“Six ….”
“Five….”
His voice was fading away as you continue to run pushing branches away. Heart beating fast and mind racing looking for a good place to hide where he can never find you.
“Four.…”
“Three….”
“Two….”
“One….”
“Ready or not here I come my love!” He replied. Sunoo uncovered his eyes and looked around the woods, he smirked. He knew the outcome of this. If only you didn’t run away from him. Let him explain things. I mean you walked in on the wrong time. Things would have been so much better for the both of you
“Tsk tsk Y/N are you sure you wanted me to be a seeker?? You know I can find you easily.” He called out. Nothing in return once more. He chuckled once more as he looked at his hands.
“Last call baby after this…” his once human hands have now been replaced with very long and slender hands with sharp long black nails, eyes black and his teeth was sharper and pointer to tear through human flesh. “There’s no turning back.” He laughed once more and jumped up using his nails to cling on the tree searching for you below.
Sunoo jumped down and began the search. “Now now Sunoo, you know better, you knew she wasn’t going to be that easy to find.” He said to himself.
You on the other hand, there was no where to hide. It now had became dark now and all the trees as you went deeper into the woods were thinner. He can easily find you.
I can’t turn back. I can’t you thought to yourself panicking as you looked left and right hopefully spotting a tree that you can maybe stand by.
“Come out come out wherever you are!” His voice was now inching closer.
You had to think.
Fast.
You decided and hopefully not regret making a U-Turn back towards his house. You left your phone there, you can call 911 while he is still searching-
You can’t Y/N. Remember?? His friend’s bodies laying there dismembered and Sunoo hovering in over them chewing on one of their arm? That face, the eyes, the hands everything was so sinister. When he slowly turned to you with that evil smile..
“Y/n you’re here early baby, why don’t you stop being so shy and come meet my lovely friends.” Is what he said before standing up striding his way towards you and you making a dash out the back door and to the woods.
Oh why did you have to arrive to hang out with what your use to be lovely boyfriend Sunoo? Why couldn’t you decline the offer Sunoo made to you to carve pumpkins with his friends?? Why couldn’t you just stay home and eat chips on the couch maybe catch up on some shows???
You should have minded your business now look at this mess you’re in-
“Y/N is that you baby??” Sunoo voice called out. It sounded like it was behind you. You froze. This is it. The end. You slowly looked behind you to see him across from you jumping at a tree. With his creepy like talons, he raised his hand and sliced across the tree. Half of the tree tumbled down. He frowned.
“Awe dumb rock you looked like Y/N’s shadow…or did you? Maybe my eyes were deceiving me….”He snapped he head up and made eye contact with you grinning evilly “…..perhaps not”
run.
Run.
RUN!
With one hand Sunoo reached across to meet the tree you were standing by. Screaming you ducked scrambling away from him and towards his house. You can hear his footsteps behind you laughing. You needed to get to the house quickly. As you were running in the direction you think the house is at you can see a dim porch light.
His house! You just needed to keep running you’re almost there! You eventually made it to his house ran up the stairs to the front door before realizing it’s locked.
Back door. I ran out the back door. You thought to yourself as you made a dash to the back of his house. You twist open the door knob and pushed yourself in, slamming the door.
You looked around trying to remember where you put your phone at. Kitchen counter? Couch? You were just about to walk into the living room before you stopped. The bodies you refuse to walk in there and seeing them lay there eyes wide open as you can see fear into them.
You decided to head to his room and try to look for his phone. You slowly open the door and surprise surprise your phone is sitting on his bed in the dark.
You were about to grab it, making a call to the police, before you saw a long black hand stretch it’s fingers out and snatch it. As you were about to back away and make a run for it the the other hand slams the bedroom door in front of your face.
Your heart pounded out of your chest. You were trapped.
You heard him laughing behind you as his nails scraped the floor as he walked towards you.
Suddenly it got quiet.
No nails scraping, no footsteps, no wind.
So quiet you can hear your heartbeat.
The quiet where it’s now too loud type of quiet.
“Found you.” Sunoo whispered in your ear.
You screamed while sitting up from the couch griping on the blanket for dear life. Sunoo yelped in surprise while looking at you making sure you were okay.
“Y/N! What’s wrong?? Are you okay?” Babe tell me please!” He begged you while holding both of your hands in his. You look at his hands and saw that they were normal.
You nodded your head, as he pulled you closer to him hugging you. You then told him everything about the dream from A-Z. After you told him he then reassured you it was a nightmare and none of that is true. Calming down you nodded while laying down, putting your head on his lap. He gently scratched your head making you doze back off. Hopefully to dreamland cause-
It’ll be a shame if you knew before going back to sleep that hand that was gently scratching your scalp…
Was a long, slender, frail, black claw-like hand.
