3) What is the OC’s favorite tea, coffee, cocoa, or other warm calming beverage?
Answered here for Jamil and Camia!
Alec's favorite warm beverage is hot chocolate! She likes to dress it up with caramel or with chili powder sometimes, but the sweeter the better in most cases! Big fan of marshmallows.
Leon's favorite is lemongrass tea! They like a lot of teas to be fair, like jasmine or chamomile, but lemongrass is their go-to.
Meredith's favorite is actually a simple bone broth. Usually whatever scraps Marjorie has from meals the day before gets boiled down into a savory broth that Meredith will drink in the morning to warm up, and it's something she used to do when she was growing up in the South, so it's a nostalgic thing for her.
17) What is the OC’s biggest comfort food?
Jamil's biggest comfort food, and the easiest to make, is Cioppino. His aunt Annalisa would have it made for him when he was younger and stayed in Venterre, and he associates it with a lot of fond memories.
Camia's is castagnole, for similar reasons to Jamil, except for her, it was his uncle Feliciano who always had a plate of these ready for her when he gave her music lessons. He often filled them with coffee, which she credits her love of the drink to.
Alec's biggest comfort food is pumpkin curry, and she only likes it the way Jamil makes it. Her Ama used to make something similar, and though she hasn't been able to completely recreate it from memory, his comes the closest.
Leon's comfort food is risotto. He particularly likes the way Camia makes it, but isn't too picky about it. It was the first meal he was offered in Venterre after leaving the desert for the first time, so he has very warm memories around the dish.
Meredith's comfort food is chili, the spicier the better. Aria ate it all the time when she was on the ship, and Meredith was ultimately very surprised that she liked it, but it’s the only thing she’ll outright ask Marjorie to make.
